Very nice little restaurant - wine-bar style ; bistronomy ; good food, short but nice selection of local wines. A place to visit !

The best cafe/restaurant in the city. Food is great, very tasty. Excellent service and atmosphere. We had dinners there 2 or 3 times, and we’ll visit this cafe again, as soon as we visit the city again. It is really the best.

What a delicious meal! Best we’ve had in Porto. Portuguese but modern flair. Great friendly service, excellent music, eclectic decor…delightful experience all around.

We had an absolutely wonderful tapas lunch here - the food was delicious, the staff super friendly and very informative - lovely wines, very quirky interior - would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return next time we are in Porto.

I rarely write reviews but Bilha Nova was so good I feel I just have to. The restaurant was recommended by the staff at Mo House and I'm so pleased they did. Food and ambience were outstanding and so good we ate their twice in our three days in Porto. Certainly we had the best food of our tour around northern Portugal. I also thought the staff were excellent - welcoming and very friendly. A great operation and i recommend very highly.

Loved this small but not tiny portuguese restaurant near universade on hilltop in porto. Very friendly. A wonderful meal. Pepper starters was plentiful and delicious. We both had cod dishes and our server spent several minutes helping us pronounce it in portuguese. A tasty vino verde also made it a memorable meal. Thanks for the word on it from our host at Mo House.

Must visit restaurant if in Porto! Located a bit further out of the busier parts of town, the restaurant is perfect for great food and a chill atmosphere. All the staff were really friendly, and the food was great, offering a mix of tapas style dishes, and main meals. Definitely worth visiting for some traditional Portuguese food

Perfect find just off the beaten track. Food, service, waiters, ambience, decor - exceptional such that we went twice!

Went there after I read so many good reviews on TripAdvisor. And can only add that this place is something special! The food is delicious, but as we are traveling in Portugal the second week I know already that this country really know how to cook. Even more than the food we were surprised about the staff. I guess this is a family business because all of the staff is so warm and welcome that you just want to show them how happy you are spending the evening at their place. We’ll stay in Porto just a couple of days but I’m pretty sure we will come back here.

Beautiful restaurant and fabulous food. Hard to spot from the outside how lovely it is but as soon as you walk in and the decor and the atmosphere are lovely.

We came here initially for lunch and it was so good (and the room and service were so excellent) that we tried to come back the following night - alas it was all booked but the nice maitre D was kind enough to find us somewhere else. Anyway we came back a third time and had delicious food. I had the prawn risotto and honestly it was the best risotto I have had for many years, one of those dishes you don’t want to end. Also I want to say the pardon peppers were great and a good portion size. What’s also great is the vibe and look of the place. And the friendliness.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful and entirely multilingual. Great selection of dishes that permit visitors to taste Portuguese versions of dishes and sample local wines. Located on the top of the hill as you leave the river, the food and atmosphere are well worth the exercise!

What a wonderful evening! The food was fantastic - we ordered several dishes as well as dessert and they were all good. The service was friendly and helpful and made provision for a gluten-free diet. We’ll be back!
