After more than 7 years going to eat there, served by the same woman as always, the one who assigns tables, takes down the menu, writes it on the tablecloth and then charges you...today she tells me that the menu she has displayed in the showcase is only served at the bar tables and they give you the menu which is the same but much more expensive. When I tell him he tells me that it was always like this and he lies to me as if I were a new tourist, not very honest and on top of that they are liars, they have changed and acting like this is a scam, nowhere does it say that there are things to serve on the table or bar and that have different prices, they try to deceive you in your face. I will never return and that's why I don't recommend it and if you don't believe it, go and see for yourself and before sitting down or sitting down ask, I got up and left. There are plenty of restaurants in Porto that do not deceive and all of this without accepting the use of a credit card as a payment method, (ALL IN B) something that they never accepted!!! Something common in Portugal This does not mean that they eat very well, but this behavior disqualifies them and says little about Lameiras Restaurant.

An institution where the Portuguese meet to eat at the counter or at the table. Good tasty dishes at very reasonable prices and an authentic atmosphere far from the crowds of tourists.
please be aware of price may differ from the bar and normal table. The owner states it is the portion difference matters. So if you want cheaper prices, you may need to take the bar seats and grab the set there

This place is for locals and it delivered both in flavor and value. We ordered a 1/2 BBQ chicken with piri piri sauce along with fries and rice. The chicken was smokey, garlicky and generally full of flavor. The whole meal was just 7 euros. Unlike the touristy Antunes up the street this really delivered on an authentic Porto foodie experience. This place takes cash only so be prepared.
