I almost don’t want to write this review and keep this amazing place a secret! During our short stay in Porto, we came twice because it was just that good! Big portions and great prices!! The staff is so genuinely friendly! Their desert selection is huge, definitely try something after lunch! It seems like a popular lunch spot with locals, which is always a good sign. Definitely recommend.

Terrible attendance. I paid €1.10 more for the service on the terrace, as I had to place the order and pay inside and the order delivery route is the same as if I stayed inside. They delivered the order without even cleaning the table, which was filthy. I don't recommend it and I won't come here again. Commerce for tourists just doesn't support it.

I've had several course dinners and large groups throughout my life. Almost all of them were an incredible experience; unfortunately I cannot say the same about the Empire of Santa Catarina. Total disappointment. Despite the good atmosphere and location, what stood out unfortunately was the attitude of one of the waitresses. Rude responses, with a tone of sarcasm, which made me and some colleagues uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone planning to have a dinner of this caliber. If it costs employees that much to make a dinner like this, then they don't even want to offer that possibility. The Império da Rua de Fernandes Tomás is infinitely more friendly, helpful and with a guaranteed good party. Avoid.
