Beautiful experience. Place run by the wife, in the kitchen, and her husband, who serves and explains the dishes with passion and care. There are now few restaurateurs so passionate about their work and what they serve. Everything we tasted was really delicious, the portions were a little small. Perhaps the desserts were a little too sugary and heavy, and their prices a little high (their gold cake with ice cream €10), but otherwise an experience that I would definitely recommend.

A pure moment of happiness, a real pleasure for the taste buds! The cuisine is truly homemade, the managers are adorable and take great care of us. You can even buy some of their products, which of course I did! I recommend this restaurant, you can go there with your eyes closed.

The food was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is the perfect choice when it comes to cultural food, such as homemade bread and special sauces. Especially the portwine sauce in combination with the pumpkin bread was excellent! Furthermore the host is very kind and helpful and makes the whole dinner a cultural experience!

This small family restaurant (Mr serving, Ms cooking) deserves a 6th star. We were received like kings, the owner explained each dish to us on the menu and everything was divine. An authentic place in Porto!

Truly special place, 2 couples arrived and we were immediately overwhelmed by the owner's passion.
The dishes are executed by the wife to perfection. We took the tripe, chicken moules and pork done in 2 versions. All very good.
Starters to share: bread with sardines in a delicious pepper sauce and delicious cheese plate with a homemade pumpkin and ginger compote.
Douro red wine a little expensive (30€) but very good.
Even the desserts, always made by the wife, are very good.
In short... long live the wife!!!!

We booked this place encouraged by the enormous number of excellent reviews and I must say that they are not wrong. Small and unpretentious place but with an excellent welcome, exceptional quality food, well-prepared and well-served dishes, exceptional service. You feel at home. CONGRATULATIONS, HIGHLY

Excellent, authentic dishes with that little extra passion and pride in Portuguese cuisine. Spending the evening here is risk-free ;)
Each dish is explained. The good soul of the restaurant is in the kitchen and her husband takes care of the culinary experience. Top location ??!

From the very first moment we stepped into the place to the last bite of our meals, this was the most wholesome food experience we had in Porto.
Despite being from Porto himself, Alvaro (the co-owner who is welcoming the customers and serving the food) has the fine manners of a British gentleman, guiding us through the entire menu with charme and a delightful friendliness. Any item on the menu is prepared with a lot of love for food and preserving the culture of these said dishes. It was outstanding!
Should you only have time to see one food place in Porto, this should definitely be it. You won’t regret it.

very nice place, excellent food and very helpful owner. You can only pay in cash, but there is an ATM around the corner. The cheese platter is highly recommended.

The food is incredible, but the love the owners have and put in their business is amazing and really gives you a great dining experience. On top of that, everything from the food to the main to dessert was exquisit. If I lived in Portugal this would be my go-to place.

Hele bijzondere gerechten, met zeer verfijnde smaken.
Alleen al het pompoen of wortelbrood, als voorgerecht. Dat leek mij een simpele starter. Niets is minder waar!

The best place in Porto for authentic Portuguese food. Out of series.
In the kitchen Luisa is a genius and at your table Álvaro makes you feel at home, the perfect combination.
A must in Porto, the tripe, the pork, the bread, the cod, everything is delicious

The food is all delicious, freshly made and with a presentation of 10.
The place is clean and cozy.
The atmosphere makes you feel at home, the waiter is always making sure you don't miss anything and explains the entire menu in Spanish.
In summary, totally recommended.
Special mention to the cod that did not have a single bone and the pork dish that has a super successful mix of flavors. Without forgetting the dessert that is totally homemade and different from what we are used to.

We had dinner for €35 per person including wine and it was absolutely perfect. The welcome and service provided by the boss are exceptional in terms of kindness, thoughtfulness and efficiency. As for the kitchen, the owner does wonders, it's a great pleasure for the taste buds. Do not stay in Porto without passing through this place, you will come out with a full stomach and a full heart. Thanks to the whole team !
