Simple place with traditional food. Very very nice people.
It's very small, they don't reserve.
Small restaurant hidden in the narrow streets of the historic center of Porto.
We arrived 20 minutes before opening and people were already waiting outside.
At the opening, we found ourselves in a small canteen with shared tables, an open kitchen run by two Portuguese grannies and a jovial waiter who convinces himself that he knows how to speak all the languages.
Superb atmosphere, the food was typical, comforting, excellent AND really not expensive at all!
We recommend having several dishes to share and tasting everything!
Little favorites:
- Sardines
- Meat croquettes
Advice :
- Arrive early, the restaurant is very popular and some people queue for hours to hope to be able to eat there
- Bring cash to pay, they do not accept cards
In short, a magnificent experience not to be missed in Porto.

The food is pretty good, but it's overrated. If you're lucky there's room, perfect, if not, don't wait.
They open late and also arrive even later.
The man treated us quite well, and in the end, he was even friendly. The first day we couldn't get in,
Second yes, but because we arrived an hour early. Little assortment but well cooked. Uncomfortable stools.
I would have liked to rate higher

So good I forgot to take pictures past the first dish. Hidden away right behind big restaurants on the water front. 6 tables only, very limited availability and they had to turn away most people trying to get in. We got lucky to get in line at 8:15 with only one group in front of us. The most special meal we had in 3 days in Porto.

It's worth waiting for them to open (they don't take reservations and the place only has six tables).
Good homemade food, at low prices (€20 per head, trying seven dishes for three) and with great kindness on the part of its owners.

It is worth the wait, it is a very authentic place with very delicious food at an affordable price. The sardines and cod fish are very delicious.

Typical Portuguese pocket. Homemade food cooked in front of customers; simple but good and tasty dishes. Price aligned with the offer.

Third time I'm in Porto, and surely the most special place I've eaten.
Super calm atmosphere, good service and good food - especially the bifana!
It is advisable to be there 10-15 minutes before they open!
