I recommend tori karaage and any piece of sushi, they are all very good.
I must comment on what people say about wait times and defend the restaurant; The dishes are prepared to order and there is only 1 waiter and 1 cook, everything is done with passion and dedication, so whoever does not appreciate gastronomy and is in a hurry, better go to McDonalds to eat a hamburger in less than 5 minutes.
I wish Gion the best in the world, they deserve it! I hope to come back soon

Dont listen to the bad reviews. Portuguese want something for nothing and tourists are comparing it to back home. For Portugal, this place is exceptional. Fresh and varied fish selection, reasonable prices across the menu, and a lovely place with great service. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place. The atmosphere is great and the waitress was nice but we waited almost an hour for our sushi that were very expensive and tasteless. The ingredients seemed very fresh though.

However, there are points to improve - open wine should remain on the table and not in the refrigerator (there are solutions to keep it cold), I suggest using a tablecloth as the table was “sticky” and be careful with hygiene on the wall there was a web with spider.

Expensive mini temakis for the portion offered, burnt chicken, okonomiyaki with excess oil. The sushi’s are pretty average. We wouldn't go back.
