The market has turned to selling “tourist souvenirs” and has lost transparency with the placement of high shelves that remove visibility. Fish products only reasonable as tourists don't buy fish there

The best Sushi in Porto with difference, I recommend you to try the nigiris and let the chef makes you a nice selection. The place it’s a bit far from the center but worth it

We found this restaurant by doing a quick search because there was nothing near the Arrábida bridge... We were surprised by this restaurant! We had gyoza and omelette as a starter then ramen, everything was excellent as well as the welcome and the service. In short, you have to go there if you want to eat good Japanese in Porto.

+ broad variety of dishes+ big portions+ the food is good in general (nothing extraordinary in case you have expectations of something special)- if you sit at the bar, the bar in front of you is not high enough, so you feel uncomfortable while eating like all personnel is watching you- because of the same reason you unintentionally monitor how the food of other guests is prepared in front of you at the bar- the plates with the prepared food are shipped from one end of the bar to another one to be served by a waiter

Restaurantji Recommends
We really liked the ramen - the broth was very well made and the portions were large. A very positive experience. The service was very good too.

Ordered take-away yesterday from Ikeda for a birthday dinner, consisting of 4 boxes of a 13-piece mix at €27 each and 4 "Special" temakis at €13 apiece.Upon arrival home, we were hugely disappointed. The sushi pieces were waaay smaller than expected and very basic for the price point (regular salmon-avocado-shrimp rolls). Having dined at similar-priced sushi places, I can say Ikeda's rolls are about half the size of those from Yujin or Terra. The “Special” temakis were simple tuna temakis.I don’t recommend Ikeda.

We made a reservation for 2 people. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were given a choice of seats at the counter because the tables would all be occupied. We asked to be in the upper room as it was common for us to always stay there, the room was cozier. Halfway up the stairs the girl “remembered” that they were going to have an event and after all it had to be right at the balcony, an interesting experience, not at all romantic and with a lot of draft. As predicted, no one came up until the end of dinner. Throughout dinner, we congratulated the kitchen, excellent Japanese food as always, the service for the first time in this space, terrible!! Amateur!! Disinterested!!
Unfortunately, we are not thinking about returning, and we are very sorry for the food, which is great.

I'll not talk about the food as other reviews state the obvious, it's good. But there are some negative things I would like to highlight. First off, the waiters are rude and inattentive, it's not pleasant to talk with the staff because they don't even try to hide that they are tired and not interested. Second, the constant beeping of the delivery phone and messengers start to get on the nerves quite fast. Third, for a premium place suggesting to "try" some starters that look complimentary and then putting them in the bill is ridiculous, this is a level of a mall cafe. The food is okay, as I said, but it's far from the best to neglect the negatives. I don't recommend this place and will not be visiting again.
