At the time of writing this review, In Diferente restaurant holds a Bib Gourmand award from Michelin. However, the quality and presentation of the food, professional service, and atmosphere make it feel like a Michelin star establishment.
Chef Angelica Salvador, who runs the restaurant, brings traditional Portuguese cuisine with a modern twist, creating a delightful gastronomic journey that exceeds every expectation. Each dish is a delicacy for your tastebuds, offering flavors your mind never knew it craved.
The service was absolutely incredible. Each waiter knew the menu inside and out, answering every question with expertise. They were extremely professional, attentive to our needs, and ensured our wine glasses were never empty, seamlessly keeping the wine pairing flowing.
During this trip, I also visited another local Michelin star restaurant in Porto. While I won't disparage the specific Michelin restaurant, I can honestly say that In Diferente surpassed it in all categories.
We did the tasting menu and wine pairing (it is worth every penny). We both left full and believed this was the best meal we had while visiting Portugal. It is a must try if you are in the Porto area.

Stayed in the heart of Porto and this was absolutely worth the Uber ride! InDiferente did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal and chef prepared an entire vegetarian tasting menu for me while my partner had the meat. Service, presentation, taste, everything was in point!

So glad we found this place. It is a great place to enjoy a fine dining. The courses all do have a very nice signature of the chef Angélica Salvador: Freshness, richness and some unique subtle well balanced taste blends and structures. Wonderful!

Had an amazing experience at In Diferente! We had the 'In Diferente' tasting menu and every dish was delicious, had unique flavour combinations and beautiful presentation.
I'd happily go back and eat every dish again, but my personal favourites were the cardinal shrimp (shrimp was so juicy and full of flavour and loved the combo with the mango, apple and two sauces), the 'pastel de nata' dessert (cool twist on the famous pastel de nata), and the strawberry & acai dessert (super fresh and the strawberry really sings on the plate - chef's kiss).
Also, I can't end the review without talking about the impeccable service from the front of house team. Hands down the best service I've had in any restaurant. They were super friendly, explained each course well, answered all the questions we threw at them, and had a good sense of humour too! After dinner, my friend said "if the restaurant was in Sydney (where we're from), I'd keep coming back even just for the service", which I think sums up the incredible service by the In Diferente team!
Keen to dine here again if I'm ever in Porto again (and wish they'd open up a rsstaurant in Sydney! ?)

We had a very good experience with the indifferent tasting menu. All dishes are very well presented and well explained in detail. I recommend not eating the entire portion of bread, it fills you up and makes it difficult to finish everything later. They have more than 500 wines and they know how to answer any questions you have.
