Lovely for a date night or a special meal in Porto. Varied menu with both local and international dishes - lovely to have a vegan version of ‘cod’ which is on many menus in the region. Incredible flavours - can highly recommend the tortilla wrap starter and the baked fish. Super tasty! The ‘chocolate garden’ dessert wasn’t as special as expected - just a brownie with some chocolate mousse, but still a nice way to end the meal. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Good value for money too!
When you enter the restaurant at the Bar you don't expect what you get in the restaurant. It is just amazing. The dinner was excellent and so tasty. Our waitress Isabel was such lovely young lady. We really enjoyed our stay
A very fancy experience and great to have all vegan options! I went with people who weren't vegan, and they loved it as well. All food was delicious and fresh.
O Jardineiro, foi uma surpresa incrível! Ambiente bonito e aconchegante. Com menu de almoço completo ( couvert, entrada, principal, sobremesa e bebida) muito gostoso, bem preparado e com bela apresentação (fotos). Tudo por um valor bem satisfatório. Eu recomendo muito. Incredible surprise! Beautiful and cosy environment. With complete lunch menu (couvert, starter, main, dessert and drink) very tasty, well prepared and with beautiful presentation (photos). All for a very satisfying price. I highly recommend i
Where to start with this one. We walked in and the restaurant was very musty and damp smelling, and it went downhill from there. They handed us a cocktail menu, but wasn’t able to make any cocktails. The food was at best bland and at worst inedible. We ordered 4 dishes, none of which were accurately described in the menu. I got the tortilla which was stuffed with seitan despite that not being mentioned in the description. I personally don’t like seitan and wouldn’t have ordered it. it had very little flavor. My husband ordered the carrot tartare, which was terrible and tasted strongly of wasabi despite that also not being mentioned on the menu. For mains, he got the wellington which was ok, and I got the stew, which was bland and clearly made with sad canned beans and tomato paste. I hate giving bad reviews, but I have to be honest here. Vegan food can be amazing but places like this bring the reputation down.
Espaço super agradável, com staff atencioso e muita qualidade na comida. Preço um pouco caro mas experiência perfeita para uma ocasião especial. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-07
I went for the lunch option of 3 courses for 19 Euro. This is only available on certain days so check first. I was on my own and didn't have a booking but that was fine. The food was pretty good, amazing soup and rice, but I was expecting more from the Chocolate Garden dessert. Great service.
Small and cozy place. We highly recommend the banofee for desert.
Love this place. The vibe is very cozy. Quiet and calming place to sit down and dine. Very very good vegan food. Porto must!
My family and I really enjoyed eating here; we had three different main courses -- a seitan escalope, "toffish" and a vegan feijoada. All of which were objectively excellent, beautifully presented and really tasty. There is a clear focus on providing a high quality restaurant experience at very reasonable prices in a venue in which it just so happens that all of the food is vegan. Why aren't there more places like this?

One of the best vegan places I have eaten in. Extremely tasty tagliatelle alla puttanesca. Excellent mushrooms risotto. Kindest staff, and open kitchen which I love. Food is delicious and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. A must if in Porto!
This makes being vegan fun and tasty. If you are in Porto and vegan, this restaurant is a must! Beautifully furnished restaurant. The food is delicious, very creative and beautifully presented. Top class level. The associated hotel is also highly recommended.
Very good food and nice presentation. Staff need a little bite of training.
Magnificent restaurant! Super staff, delicious food. Michelin get down here toute suite! Beautiful decor, staff were complete poppits and the food was presented thoughtfully, but in filling portion sizes. I would come back to Porto just to eat here. Go, go now before this place becomes Porto’s worst case secret and has a 12 months waiting list. 10 stars all round. I checked with the staff and all wine is vegan.
We were really impressed with the food here. We had the spicy “meat” tortilla to share which was very flavourful and not too spicy (the way we like it!) Then we ordered the tofu wellington and the traditional tripe’s bean stew- both delicious but we agreed the wellington stole the show! The staff were so friendly and attentive and we sat in the garden which was beautiful, peaceful and scenic. Great place!
