Impeccable service, average francesinha, value as expected for being a tourist area

The service is a disaster if you arrive around 10pm they don't serve you or if they do they tell you that the kitchen is overcrowded and they can't make any more dishes. They are rude and impudently unheard of. Shame on Porto, such a beautiful city.

We stopped to drink a Port and it was a pleasant experience. It won't be the best activity to evaluate this place given that there is a whole meal service there. But we can point out that the service is friendly and attentive.

A nice break to quench your thirst, and very friendly and helpful flavors.
Cappuccino was bland. Nespresso with microwaved milk is better.
Pancakes came with melted ice cream.
Go somewhere else.
Fruit salad was nowhere like the picture, when the waiter was confronted the answer was a cool: "no".
As predicted: this was a failed choice.

We were in Porto for 1 week and only booked breakfast. So we wanted to have a leisurely meal in the city in the evening. If you have the
If you leave out pizzerias with small frozen pizzas for an outrageous €16, there isn't that much left over. There are countless small restaurants, but they all focus on fast food and are not cheap. But now we were lucky, there is the café/restaurant Java just 2 minutes walk from our hotel. We went there almost every day this week. Patricia and her team were despite
Although the restaurant was sometimes overcrowded, they were always quiet and friendly and always accommodated our little requests. Once it was a little quieter, they also had time to chat a bit, which went far beyond the usual tourist blah blah. But what's just as important is that the restaurant doesn't have a large menu. The quality of the food was absolutely fresh and of very good quality. I haven't had fresh cod like the one in Java for ages. I ate noodles with king prawns and they tasted so good that I ordered a second portion. This also applies to the other dishes, we tried a few more. This restaurant stands out from many others in Porto, you almost feel at home thanks to the friendliness of the owner and her equally nice husband. Unreserved recommendation from me. Thanks to Patricia

I recommend the francesinha. Very affordable prices for the area of Porto in which it is located. Sometimes it is difficult to find a place due to the number of tourists.
