I was worried about the other reviews, but I didn't have the same perception. The francesinhas are delicious, I don't know if they are better in other places, but I liked them. The owner was very friendly, he talked to us about Brazil, gave us directions, and was very kind. The waiters were attentive and recommended the dishes to us honestly. I just thought the prices were high for the amount of food served.
We arrived early so they were not very busy. We were craving fish and were not disappointed. Both fish dishes were cooked perfectly. Fish is very easy to tell when cooked properly as it is moisture and flaky both dishes were perfectly cooked. The portions were just right for a US appetite. I would recommend this place for dinner for sure. Shame this is our last night here.
We really enjoyed our meal at Lapausa. We were warned immediately that they accept cash only. Food was great - sardines for me and pork tenderloin in a port sauce for my husband. Service was excellent. We gave a mediocre review for ambience because the TV was on and the room was quite empty.
