I live in Brazil and looking to go to Porto, I bought takeaway half a suckling pig already cut into pieces, sauce and a reserve sparkling wine came with it, everything was excellent, memorable, I intend to return. My relatives who live in Bonfim thought it was a little too fat, weighing half a headless piglet at 2.6 kg, while the thinner piglet, the better, would weigh up to 2.2 kg.The fries are also excellent.

My friend recommended this suckling pig place to me and I gave it a try. I really love it. As a tourist, though there is no English menu, the staff is very nice and helpful. He’s trying every way to explain to us in a friendly way. Love the crispy, warm, and aromatic suckling pig which is very similar to the one in Hong Kong but it has more herbs. The spicy sauce is wonderful. I didn’t order the sandwich, but I saw many local uncles and aunties ordering whole piglet with many pieces of buns and chips after 7pm. They told me the suckling pig is really good. The suckling pig tasted so good that I have to order a second plate. Enjoyed the interaction with the locals here while eating at the high table. Feel like eating at the local bbq pork shop in Hong Kong. I highly recommended this place. Do come and enjoy some crispy suckling pig.

The €14 suckling pig plate came with ten or so pieces, a salad and potato chips. Half of the pieces had crispy skin, while the other half had rubbery skin. Too tough to chew and inedible. The meat was tender, but lacking seasoning.
