We went to Manna because it looked healthy and the cocoa smoothie bowl looked really nice in reviews. However, we were not excited, there were just so many small things which made our stay less enjoyable than at other places in Porto: The main seating area is pretty dark. When we arrived, we were told we could sit wherever we wanted, but then, the two first tables we chose were not OK with the staff. How I (Barbara) had convinced James to go to a non-vegan place was because the reviews said the coffee was good, but then we were told that their milk steamer was broken. And the staff member who served us and also cooked had a cough and put her hand multiple times against her forehead, as if checking for her temperature. Also, we would have expected a bigger focus on vegans from the raving reviews - but e.g. for the (savoury) brown rice bowl we had, there was an option to add an egg as a vegetarian protein, but no option to add vegan protein. The cocao smoothie bowl was indeed really nice, it was cold. However, probably not as healthy as it sounds, as it was pretty sweet, with the main ingredients being bananas and granola. All in all we just didn't have the best experience.
Pancake was delicious and surprisingly filling. Iced coffee with oat milk was perfect and the staff were so kind.
We ejoyed some good food here. Prices are normal for Porto.
Very well designed The socca meal was amazing, so tasty and healthy! So good I forgot to take a picture. The pancakes were ok, would rather have fruit jam instead of chia jam. But it was so pricy compared to other options... The socca was 13 euros.
Loved the vibe, creative menu, socca was SO good. Bread absolutely delicious
Best coffee and food in town! 10/10

We spent a week in Porto and tested a few local coffee shops near the historic centre. The first time we visited this coffee we were very pleased by the service and the quality and the variety of the menu. We enjoyed the calm vibe and the service. Unfortunately the second time we were not so pleased. Nothing to say about the food and the coffee but we were asked to pay at the very moment of the order. The other Portoguese customers were not asked to do so. We felt that we were treated this way because we were tourists and not Portoguese. It is worth 5 stars for the menu but this treatment was very disappointing.

The coffe is average, however staff's attitude was unnecessary rude.
I just wanted an expresso to go. First, I asked the difference between two type of expresso and they try to explained by reading the name of the coffees without further description, while being very condescending (I'll give the benefit of the doubt that they do not speak English very well).
Then, they made me paid OUTSIDE the local and told me that I have to wait there for no reason (the place was empty ) and when I asked for sugar/agave sirope or anything they told me that they ran out but then told me that this is a Speciality coffee so they do not work with any type of sugars, and that is what makes it a specialy coffee (?).
2.5 eur for an expresso in Oporto is expensive, but at least improve the experience if you are interested to teach people about quality coffee

Everything that is wrong with a specialty coffee place. There were only a few customers inside and they wanted to have us wait outside in the sun while they made our coffee. Any question we asked, the response was super condescending and pretentious like you have to know everything about their products. We asked for sugar or sweetener and we were told that they don't use them because their coffee is good. It's nice to have been told how to enjoy my coffee.

They have vegan and gluten free options. It was very delicious, nutritious and healthy. The staff is very kind, the decoration and music transmit peace and tranquility. I loved it and I will comeback in my trips to Porto!!
