Good value and authentic
Great place to eat, right on the river. Nice staff and very very good food. The sea bass, cod and biscuit cake, which was what we ordered, were all wonderful. I recommend it, without a doubt.

A hidden gem! The food is simple and very tasty. I had the grilled sea bass and the waiter told me when I ordered it was seasoned only with salt. It was so delicious and cooked perfectly. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable. If you're looking for simple "home cooked" food in a quite atmosphere, this is your place.

O Caseirinho restaurant nestled in Porto, offering views of the Douro River. The restaurant's atmosphere is instantly complemented by the service provided by the friendly multilingual staff.
The star of the show for me was the fresh Robalo fish grilled to perfection with garlic potatoes. The tomato salad -sourced directly from their garden, with their house vinaigrette dressing is perfect accompaniment to any dish.
The restaurant's location is simply unbeatable. Dining outdoors while taking in the stunning panorama of the Douro River.
If you're seeking authentic Portuguese cuisine in a charming setting, O Caseirinho is a great option.

Ok it may not be beautiful but the food is definitely good
I took a grilled sea bass (whole, not half a portion as the menu suggests), delicate, good and decidedly satisfying. The other diners were all happy with the dishes except for the grilled octopus which was a little dry. The best dish was the seafood risotto, the 39 euro bowl indicated for 2 people is huge and can be eaten by 3 but also by 4 if you want and it is absolutely divine. We took 2 of them for 8 people and it was still right, it's slightly spicy.
I suggest the excellent local olives with bread as an entrée.
Eight of us spent around 200 euros without desserts.

There were no dishes on the list, we ordered a dish that they didn't have. We ordered a simple steak à Caseirinho, we waited in the cold as we were on the terrace where we had arrived in the sun and were served for almost 2 hours waiting, it was already night, with the aggravation of being poorly cooked. The steak, for example, was for bread. Location to be crossed out.

Excellent restaurant with views of the river and homemade food that is hard to find. I had two meals at this restaurant and it was always great.

Quite good overall. The food was great. Fish, tomato salad, pork, drinks -- all simple and fresh. The atmosphere in the outdoor seating was good -- it's next to a busy street and lots of people were smoking but you can see the sunset up the river and it was very inviting. There were not enough waiters, and it was very hard to get someone's attention to get a refill or pay the check, even compared to similar establishments in Porto. It's cash only, but there's an ATM across the street.
Kid-friendliness: Accepting and inviting towards kids, but lots of people smoking at the tables outdoors.
