We were a group of 13, we were served with great friendliness by a gentleman who, with his excellent oratory, forced tickets and drinks on us at all costs. When ordering the main course, there was no menu or prices, he suggested three varieties of food to distribute to everyone, we ended up trusting and shortly afterwards astronomical doses of cod, veal and octopus arrived, all with a taste that was nothing like it. special. There was more than half left, it was a real waste, and we are people who eat well! In the end, the best of surprises, a bill of 40 or so euros per person just for canteen food and some fine food. I felt like a tourist in my beloved city, well deceived.

The restaurant serves good food, sometimes not enough. But what's really bad is not showing the menu and saying "by word of mouth" what's coming out at the moment. We don't know prices. Two couples were surprised with a bill that exceeded €120 for a dose of octopus (thin, small tentacles) and black pork secretions (half a dozen very thin slices), poorly served and very little quantity. Few starters and 2 desserts.. We ask taxpayers and they present a receipt with just the total amount without specifying prices for anything. From the history I see on the page, it is already the restaurant's practice... And so we were deceived. That's why they never show the list. I'm sorry because the space is cute and the tickets coming out on time are good, but I won't go back.

We arrived late for lunch and were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly and instilled a sense of trust. He seated us and promptly placed Chorizo Bread and olives on the table—items typically complimentary. He then asked what we would like for starters, offering cheese, ham, or both. We ordered a mix of the two and received four small squares of cheese and a few slices of ham on a small 15cm diameter board, totaling less than 100g of cheese and 100g of ham.He proceeded to ask what we would like for our main course without ever showing us a menu, suggesting cod, beef, or octopus. Again, no menu was provided. We ordered beef and octopus, and truthfully, the food was very good and the portions were satisfactory. After finishing, we asked for the leftovers to be packed, along with a roasted apple and a coffee. We were surprised when it came time to pay in a secluded street on the outskirts of Porto, far from the center. The bill was €81.15, including charges for every item he placed on the table that we had not ordered. The "starters," the damned starters of bread and olives, were billed. The octopus was a half portion but priced at least twice as high as in the more expensive places, the same for the beef. The cheese and ham starter alone cost nearly as much as a good meat dish at any other reputable restaurant in Porto. It was dishonest and malicious, taking advantage of our emergency and our status as tourists. In summary, it’s a tourist trap with good quality. But good quality can be found in many other places in Porto.I suggest visiting Buraco, Taberna do doutor, or Ernesto instead.

Reservations were made in advance for our group in the room at the back, so we could be more reserved. Later that day it was said that they were wrong... We agreed on 2 dishes and then they served what they wanted, which was terrible, it didn't taste like anything. And finally the owner of the restaurant was inedible, rude, superb... It seemed like he was doing a favor. I will never go back and I won't recommend it to anyone.

I'm posting one star for everything because I can't use zero. We were recommended this place by our hotel, traditional food, sounded great. When we arrived we were shown to a table. The waiter from the offset ignored my wife and talked pretty much only to me. We thought, okay maybe that's the worst of it. It went downhill fast after that. I ordered the pork and vegetables, my wife ordered the baked cod. My pork arrived along with octopus for my wife, which she definitely didn't order. The waiter then inferred that was definitely what she ordered, but she definitely didn't. I then started my pork and thought someone had switched the meat for a rubber crash Matt. It was overcooked and probably reheated from god knows when. When my wife's baked cod arrived it was overcooked and about as palatable as eating the plate. The waiter obviously has a problem with females, as he ignored my wife and was surprisingly condescending when my wife paid the bill. We have really enjoyed the warm hospitality of the people of Porto, but I'd give this place a a wide berth unless you enjoy being patronised and very bad food.

Impeccable place, reasonable to good food.A bit abusive employee and owner of the establishment without any respect. In addition, I felt robbed, as we were a group of friends who had already set the price and for another 2 bottles of house green wine and 3 rabanadas, we were called to the attention of the whole room that it was not part of the deal and we paid double for person.I'm not exaggerating when I say twice as much.

Frankly, I think the good reviews are bought. There were two of us and they didn't even give us a menu. I ordered entrecôte and they brought us another meat on a tray with potatoes that tasted old and beans. All this submerged in 5 cm of fried oil. It lacked salt. We didn't want the starters they put on the table, so the guy took them away, making faces and talking from behind. We asked for the menu to see the desserts and the waiter said they didn't have them, and that we should choose from the display case. I imagine this is to put a good nail on you so you don't find out. The coffee tasted like grounds. It was an espresso and I couldn't finish it. Run away from there. It's bad with desire.

Great delicious food, cooked traditionally, great wine and reasonably priced. Try the roasted boar and the dark pig cuts, you can’t go wrong. The wine of the house is amazing (red) and desserts were delicious!
