If you're looking for an authentic, locally sourced, reasonably priced place, this is the place. When we arrived, the fresh fish was out in the window. As soon as we entered, the boss greeted us, and when it turned out that he didn't speak any other language than Portuguese, we knew we were in the right place. The menu consists of simple, typical Portuguese and local port offerings, but that's exactly what we were looking for.

A bit difficult to communicate with English, but it wasn't a problem. Professional, helpful waiter, tasty food. And probably the best traditional Franchesina sandwich in the area - we didn't dare to try it in other places, but here it was really tasty, the sauce was separate, so you could add it as you wish. Fresh fish, properly grilled. Wine at very good prices! I really recommend it because it's a traditional Porto.

We ordered Francesinha with potatoes and toast with steak and sausages.
All very good.
Not frequented by tourists so the treatment is not the same as in the "cazaturistas" although the waiter who served was just as "friendly" with everyone (very serious).
The starters that they give you at the beginning are a tradition in all Portuguese restaurants and if you don't touch them there is no reason to charge for them.
In one of the photos I have uploaded you can see the good quality of the ingredients with which they make the francesinhas.

Simple restaurant, very friendly waiter who helps us in our choices. The cuisine is very good, the dishes are generously served. We had vegetable soup, then salmon with cabbage and potato accompaniment and Francesinah served with fries. All very good.

I had dinner here with my family one evening in January, it was cold and raining outside, but inside we were welcomed into a super familiar and extremely welcoming environment! Our travel guide had recommended this place to us, and we soon discovered why: in this restaurant, simple as it is, you can taste an excellent Francesinha and taste the real Porto cuisine!Important note: this place is little frequented by tourists and chosen by true Portuguese, so it is possible that the owner does not know your language. But don't worry: he will still be able to advise you in the best way :) Super experience, to come back!

We ate codfish and kid. The cod looked like tuna in a can, such was not the way it fell apart. I know what to say about the kid, because we only saw the bones. And everything barely warmed up in the microwave. After that we didn't even want dessert. I can't believe they dare to charge more than €18 for each of these dishes... The bread wasn't bad.
