1000/10 Recommended! The sangria was delicious, we ate the trio of hummus plus orpheus casserole... all delicious. The place is pleasant, cool (in summer in the shade, it is pleasant). The attention, very good!

Beautiful place in an alleyway on the stairs in Porto. Food was very good and the servers were very friendly. We did have to be active in catching the attention of the two waiters (more than we like to) but it was busy (at no time there was an empty table) and it was obvious that they were working as fast as they could. There was constantly a line of people waiting to be seated and this is no surprise as it is a very nice place to eat. If you are planning on visiting Porto I highly recommend eating here. Even if you have to wait for a couple of minutes to be seated.

The Orpheu Proto is one of the absolute culinary highlights of the port city of Porto. Located a little out of the way in a small side street, this restaurant is a real insider tip with oomph. The food and drinks are served quickly and offered in generous portions. Garlic lovers in particular will get their money's worth here. But other tastes are also catered for: there is a diverse selection of cheese, hummus and meat. The team is attentive and friendly; a second bread basket? No problem! The Orpheu Proto is an absolute recommendation for all fans of great food and tapas!
