Words don't come easily to aptly describe the culinary adventure that is a meal at Pedro Lemos! We chose the full tasting menu and wine pairings, which unleashed the talents of the full team. Their knowledge & artistic approach to composition and presentation were a marvel, fueling thoughtful discussion of each course through our 3.5 hour visit. Staff expertly provided details of regionally sourced ingredients (squid fresh from the Azores, I mean, wow!) and wine selections. Beverage selections were ample, one concealed as a gele surprise within the passion fruit and mango course. Cannot fail to mention the delightful assorted appetizer bites presented so artfully ahead of the full menu. Literally took our breath away. Each mouthful full of flavor, sparking discussion & anticipation as the journey began. Notable: Amberkack with gin & yuzu cocktail, squid course, sea bass (refreshing!), squab (rich and satisfying every bite), cheese course en fin. Note: location is a small unassuming street, our Uber driver had trouble finding. The staff thoughtfully offered to summon a cab for our departure.
The wines and the sommelier are the winners here. The full menu disappoints a little bit as the two extra dishes were not on the same height as the rest. The lobster was slightly chewy and had a taste of gas from the grill I presume.
