Hidden gem of a locals cafe. We ate here three times in our stay. Food better and fresher than the more expensive places. Everything cooked to order & very affordable. Grilled salmon steak or fried octopus excellent. All tapas good. English menu. Waitresses all attentive & pleasant. Thanks to lovely server in green top who chased after me when I forgot my bag & sunglasses.

Vegetarian options: Veg lasagne & nice tapas (mushrooms on ciabatta bread & fried jalapenos, cheese platter)

We stopped at this café for our breakfast during the beginning of our Caminho Português. Great and simple place, right on the way. The two ladies who served us were very pleasant! Easy and nice breakfast. We had the omelete mixta, orange juice (sumo de laranja) and coffee. It was great, tasty, and well served! But the best, you don’t need to get off the Caminho!

The terrace is right on the street, which is a bit of a shame, but the staff is friendly. The food is okay but not always what you expect: Hamburger is just a piece of meat.

Excellent poulpe et chorizo (portions généreuses), un très bon rapport qualité-prix, de bons serveurs et une très belle vue sur le Douro. Je recommande !!

Very friendly waitresses and cheap and delicious food! 100% recommended. The francesinha in the photo is the simple one. We recommend sharing it so that it doesn't get heavy (if you are a person who likes meat a lot you will love it) and then taking one or two extra dishes (it depends on how much you eat) to share, in our case we ordered powdered rice, very rich!

Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian francesinhas, although we did not try them.

Great local spot with nice coffees and breakfast sandwiches. If you need it, the menu is in English on one side. It was very convenient in the morning before heading into town. Nice spot!

Excellent restaurant with the most wonderful sea food.
We sat outside on a warm afternoon.
The waitress did not speak much English but did her best.
The octopus and bacalhau was brilliant and so was the sangria.
A must visit!
