A beautiful restaurant tucked away in a tiny little street. The service was excellent and everyone spoke English. Portuguese people are incredibly educated and speak multiple languages including Spanish. They placed jazz and more modern music but all at a good volume. The restaurant was chic but chill. We had the ravioli and burrata appetizers which were excellent. We both got the beef Wellington which was delicious and filling. For dessert we had the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. The perfect way to end a birthday dinner and day in Porto, a wonderful city ❤️

The setting is very friendly and the service quality. The food is also good but much too salty, there were 4 of us and the 4 dishes were too salty… It’s a shame!

I’ve been to this restaurant several times and not once i had been disappointed, absolutely recommended so delicious and fancy. YOU SOULD TRY THE MEAL OF THE DAY MENU it’s really affordable price you can’t find it easily with that quality of food.
I just love this place, i hope and wish that they keep it as it is now and for more and more of success ❤️???.

Had dinner early June 2024 and it was our best meal over 2 weeks in Portugal. A bit hard to find, but well worth the effort. Service was a casual Michelin level, and Pablo was superb. A real neighborhood gem!

In addition to the welcoming atmosphere and intimate surroundings, it was a very interesting gastronomic experience. The food stood out for the quality of the ingredients and the richness of the flavors, combined with excellent preparation. To repeat!

Vegetarian options: It has some vegetarian options.

THIS REVIEW IS MAINLY TO THE COSTUME BISTRO AT R. DO BONJARDIM 111

*Initially the place was full, so we were redirected by a kind staff member to another Costume Bistro nearby at R. do Bonjardim 111. (not listed on google maps so i imagine both work as the same)

*the place looks and feels nice
*the food took forever even when it was just my group (4 people)
*food serving portions were either VERY little (octopus was a Single octopus tentacle, grilled steak was around 50grms of steak, roasted beef were super tin slices less than 15grms total) or alright size (chicken + fried rice was good serving)
*the issue comes with our order requiring for a daiquiri without alcohol (we asked if it was possible and the waiter agreed) there was a confusion in communication, which ended up with the daiquiri coming with alcochol, we asked for it to be changed for water since the person cant drink alcohol and got a headache after consuming just a little. (there was no apologies from the staff by the way)
*the drink later was charged regardless, the person who had the headache tried asking for it to be refunded, but again, neither apologies for the damage caused, nor a refund for the drink.

We all ended up just leaving with a bad experience in general.

The staff needs improving at the very least. everything else is passable

We had one of our best food nights here in Portugal. The restaurant is small and cosy, the food delicious (wished we had ordered more of the spicy prawns!) and the staff is very attentive. It's a bit on the pricier side but absolutely worth it!

We found this in a little alleyway and walked in at a late time but they were able to seat us. We had a light meal - excellent pate food gras and spicy shrimp from the entrada menu. Quiet, popular with locals. Friendly service.

Unforgettable dining experience!

While a little pricier than some of the other restaurants in the area, this small alley restaurant in a cozy, intimate setting serves some of the best food.

Many people talk about the octopus and black risotto, which was delicious, but the sea bass and Beef Wellington are also great dishes. The sea bass is perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and the beef Wellington had the most tender steak we've tried in Europe.

For dessert, the chocolate cake and mousse is their specialty. It's on the more dense side and not as sweet. They also have a great red fruit pavlova that is both tart and slightly sweet.

By far, the service at this restaurant is stellar. Even though our server didn't speak the most English, he was kind and helpful. He brought over multiple types of port wine for us to try and gave us great suggestions.
