Wife and I came on airbnb host advice. Outstanding food and service. They have a limited and different menu everyday. We think that is why the food is so delicious. The price is just a bonus, VERY reasonable.

A restaurant. Yes, without pretensions beyond the fact that you want a quality home-cooked meal, have rodabalho grelado, very good, a 375ml douro from 2019 and a coffee. Very balanced quality-price ratio. About 15 euros. I didn't dare with the desserts but they were all homemade.If you go a little further from the center you will find places like this, near the Saturday market on Avd 25 de Abril.

What we remember about this restaurant close to our accommodation is that we eat typical Portuguese products where most of the customers are regulars, a guarantee of quality. The owners do not speak fluent French but understand it and make efforts to help us. Dishes between €11 and €17, with fresh produce and succulent desserts between €2 and €4.
