So I feel completely defrauded. The idea I come up with, I don't know if it's wrong, is that, if there are few reservations, they seat everyone in the same room so as not to distribute them to two different restaurants. As far as the atmosphere is concerned, everything was terrible at this dinner. We arrived and there was a singer in the bar, right next to the restaurant and without any door separating them, who sang to a pre-recorded musical base, without any live accompaniment. If this wasn't already poor and regrettable in itself for a 5-star hotel, the singer's musical quality was not good and was heard throughout the meal at a very uncomfortable volume for a quiet meal, as we expected it to be. We were four people (two couples) and we ordered two bottles of wine (one of white wine and one of red wine). They exchanged the red wine glasses for glasses that were not at all elegant and had a completely rough rim. We asked to exchange for more elegant and pleasant glasses (as I have done in previous reservations at the same hotel) to better enjoy the wine. We were denied this exchange, as there was a wedding at the hotel and we were told that all the glasses were filled with that wedding. Regrettable. The food was, overall, quite good, with the exception of one starter (meat pie) which had a terrible presentation. However, nothing justifies the price of each dose. To justify the high prices, all the service, friendliness of the staff (which never happened), the environment, the room, etc., should be much, much better. The lesson was learned and I will definitely be unlikely to consider returning to this restaurant. I don't recommend it at all!

In total €142 for two people. The invoice was immediately presented with an increase of 10% tip in "Others" which was promptly withdrawn - this is not customary in Portugal, it is not a suggestion of anything if the service is not to your liking and much less should it be presented on the invoice already in the amount total!In short, for the price charged, it is unacceptable that the quality of the food is dependent on the luck of having a good cook on the hot plate. The price is excessive for what is on offer for both the main course and starters - there are phenomenal and creative restaurants charging a third of the amount charged. In our opinion, it is still a tourist trap - it is located in the hotel, has good prices and is nothing more than that.

Beautiful location, amazing buildings with rich history. Surprisingly modern rooms but didn’t clash with the original decor in the palacio. Good service. Breakfast was generous and high quality. The only thing I would put a mark in would be the very hard beds. Besides that I highly enjoyed it.
