Delicious Portuguese food, the delicious octopus pratinho, cod and ear salad, fabulous salmon and with ½ of wine. An authentic place close to the center but outside the tourist traps.

great price/performance ratio with typical Portuguese food in the middle of Porto. Really great!

What a weird and creepy experience! We got in, the restaurant was totally empty. We sat to look at the menu and as nothing was appealing, we decided to leave. The owner insisted for us to stay, asking why we didn't like his menu. He became almost agressive. He then proceeded to follow us on the street for about 10 minutes (he thought we couldn't see him), all the way to the restaurant we ended up having dinner.

This is the one place in the Porto tourist area where I come for down to earth nourishment. A have been here a few time by myself and with expats. The staff speaks very little English but they make for it in service, kindness, and service. I particularly LOVE their moellas (guisards) on a bed of rice. They have other dishes that are just as delicious. Just can't remember what they are now... (no, I am not Rittos' happy... ?)
Watch out for the wine. It seems to have higher alcohol content because I get happy when I order it. Even with a half a "garrafa" (pitcher), my lunch mate and I ended a tad tipsy.
Parking: I think a couple owns it and they are your servers, cooks, and cashiers.

Unbeatable price/quality ratio compared to its location.
The dishes at 5/6 euros are more than enough, I recommend adding the soup at 1.40 euros.

Delicious and very cheap for lunch. There is a business lunch style menu. Grilled salmon with potatoes and vegetables 5.5€ and pureed vegetable soup 1.4€. Ideal for lunch.
