Small restaurant close to the sea! Cocooning atmosphere with an absolutely kind boss who speaks French! (And English, and Portuguese and Arabic!!). The dishes are excellent, cooked before our eyes in a small, charming kitchen. She does everything on her own. The prices are very affordable for the cuisine produced! The meal is punctuated with very pleasant little touches! An address not to be missed!!

I have no words for this amazing restaurant in Foz, Porto. After stumbling upon this gem, we were so impressed by the warm ambience and amazing decor. Solanje (the owner, chef, waitress) made the experience so personable from the get go.
The food was outstanding, and solanje was amazing at catering to the one vegan in our group. The creamy cod dish stood out for me, incredible flavours and clearly made with love. The chocolate volcano cake was mouthwatering, and she even let us try a Portuguese sponge pudding!
Everything was made in a kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant, making it feel very homely. Overall, an unforgettable experience and a must visit if you are in Porto.

Just a few steps away from Ingleses beach, tucked away on the beautiful streets of Foz, you’ll find Sol’s welcoming open planned kitchen ready to welcome you in with a warm smile.
As a group of travellers with a range of dietary preferences, Sol made sure that we were all catered to (vegetarian and vegan) - nothing was too much hassle. The selection of bread and olives to start was the first sign that this was going to be an excellent meal; fresh, tasty and perfectly seasoned with enough for four hungry travellers. With a wealth of knowledge about each dish on the perfectly designed menu, Sol was able to recommended a dish for each of us based on our preferences. Highlights of the main courses were the truffle mushroom tortellini and the creamy cod which were perfectly balanced and full of flavour. When dessert came around we were all full from the meal, but couldn’t resist tasting more of Sol’s homemade creations. We ended up getting a pudding each, with a complimentary Portuguese sponge and a delicious vegan dessert created especially for us. I could not recommend this restaurant enough, whether you’re after a romantic date with a partner or a cosy family meal, this is definitely the place to be in Foz.

We stumbled upon Sim ou Sopas after an afternoon at the beach, we weren’t expecting to find a little treasure!
From the moment we walked in, Sol, the owner and chef, made us feel so welcome. Sol talked us through the wines, let us try, and then the menu. She also catered for our vegan friend as well and recommended different dishes for all of us.
Sol runs the entire restaurant herself, no wait staff or other chefs. Everything from the drinks to the food and the service went the extra mile to make it special. The Port and Tonic, mushroom truffle tortellini, and chocolate volcano cake were especially delicious.
Expect to have a lovely evening with friends in a warm and homely atmosphere. The experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto!

Fantastic. Delicious food! Not in the touristy area, but a few minutes' walk from the pier. Absolutely worth it. Solanje prepares everything herself and is also a wonderful hostess. She also helped us enormously with a small problem. Then we also did take away and that was also fantastic. My husband had the arroz de bacalhau as his favorite and I had the pasta with mushrooms and truffle. Tasteful design (toilet!) too. We had a great time, so if you are in Porto, definitely eat here!!

Incredible experience.
A very friendly hostess cooks very high-quality Portuguese dishes with a personal touch in a perfectly furnished small restaurant.
And she does this all by herself. Cooking, service, clearing up...
The restaurant has a small outdoor area in the back yard, which is not visible from the street.
Absolutely recommended if you want to eat authentically but still very stylishly.
From the aperitif drink (port tonic) to the slightly spicy mussels (highlight), perfectly recommended wine from the region and dessert, it's a great culinary experience.
Be sure to reserve in advance!
