The chicken was still alive, despite the waiter being polite I watched people in the kitchen putting rice with their bare hands the guy that was plating rice didn't had gloves at all that's disgusting, also felt overwhelmed by the fact of coming on my own like if was a massive issue that was just me, trust me AVOID!

I ordered chicken salad and am not even sure what I received. Some tired, wet salad with booked peas and white, tasteless chicken bits. I was not able to eat it, and that sais a lot coming from a woman like me. ? I asked the staff if I could buy another, more expensive dish and not pay for the salad, but they were quite rude and not very serviceminded. They wanted me to pay for the salad as well. Not before they saw me open the trip advicer app they said it was okey, I could order something else and not pay for the salad. I ordered another dish, that was more eatable but not especially good. I will not re-visit.

We went to Sr Frango da Guia at Armazens do Chiado on a Monday afternoon. It was not busy at all. We came here mainly because we were attracted by the big pictures of the dishes and the price. We ordered half a chicken and pork ribs. The meat came with rice and fries. The meat was seasoned right and decent. However, the serving was quite small (thus cheaper) and it was not quite satisfying. It was our first Portuguese meal and fortunately we had better food in our 2-week stay.

This Restaurante is a chicken barbecue, not bad, but the price is the double as a normal restaurante. 5 Euros for a beer? Normal in the UK but not in Portugal. Try another nearby not so full but with reasonable prices.
