Restaurant with a privileged location inside the Póvoa de Varzim fortress, with partial views of the sea (best view if access to the terrace is allowed).

The staff is very friendly, attentive and, if necessary, explains the characteristics of the different pieces of sushi and other pieces.

The environment is also quite pleasant.

There are several car parks nearby, including the pier park in front of the fortress.

Great experience at an affordable price.

I visited the restaurant through the Odisseias platform.
Very displeased with the sushi, they either purposely make those who have a voucher odysseys or have misleading advertising.
The pieces of sushi included in the menu came to the table, we ate and were dissatisfied with such simple and repeated pieces (6 identical hot pieces came) we asked if, when we ordered another 14 pieces, they could be different and even more elaborate as we had seen in the photos, including here on the website. They said no, that these photographs probably referred to the old management and that the new sushi man made traditional sushi and not fusion. When the website expressly says “Come and taste the best of Japanese fusion cuisine”.

Quite expensive prices for the quality of the sushi.
The service was very good and the space is beautiful.

the food was bespoke and flavour full, very good recommendations from the hostess a memorable experience. We returned after 7 years and were not disappointed. The gin was refreshing and a enjoyable pairing with the meal.

First I ordered the 34-piece freestyle.12 are sashimi. Highlight for the sashimi! The selection of types of fish is very varied with some less common options such as mackerel.For me the problem starts with the other 24 pieces. 6 were identical hot rolls, which for the price, were not the type of sushi I was expecting. Which makes 27% of the 24 hot rolls. Furthermore, 3 types of pieces (6 in total) were clearly small. One of the smallest I've ever eaten. (illustrated in the photo with the pieces next to a €2 coin).The lack of nigiris in these 24 pieces also seems like an odd choice.On a Thursday with 30% of the restaurant full, the wait was absurd. 40min for 3 harumaki.For dessert, the matcha cake with passion fruit and mango accompanied by a scoop of matcha ice cream must be one of the best desserts I've ever had.Special highlight for Maria! Maximum rating for the service is not enough!!The space is very pleasant.

Inside the fortress of Povoa de Varzim, in a simple but very pleasant space where the quality of service and food deserves top marks. High quality sushi, super fresh fish and a sublime presentation. Add to this the fact that the tables are spacious and far from each other, where privacy is assured, we have full marks for a place where the Sushi is of great quality and at a very reasonable price. Therefore, I can only recommend it.

Parking: In the summer it is difficult to park in Póvoa but about 300 meters away there is a paid car park and luckily you will also find one on the street.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to enter the fortress. The restaurant has ground floor and first floor.
