Nice restaurant with local food, the prices are completely reasonable and the service is fine. The dishes are all freshly prepared, and some of the vegetables and herbs grow directly in our own garden outside the terrace.
Friendly staff, outside space is very pleasant, sword fillet (one of the typical Madeiran dishes) was verySimple, side dishes, nothing special and small portions. Clean toilet but a broken toilet. I consider it expensive for the quantity and preparation of the dishes. I paid €20.00 for a sword dish, 2 glasses of wine, shared dessert and coffee.
A real gem of a place! We had an excellent meal here with a superb front of house. My partner and I had a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine and it came to 60 euros, great value. The garlic bread was easily the best I've had in Madeira (and I've had a few!)It was fairly quiet due to the time of year and they were closing for their holidays after that night, which made total sense.I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again next time I'm nearby.
