While vacationing in Quarteira we came across this restaurant off a side street. Really happy we did. My husband and I had a pitcher of Sangria which was excellent. My brother & I had swordfish with lemon and capers which was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My husband and sister-in-law had beef kabobs which were tender and juicy. Cappuccinos and espresso martini's finished the meal perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Been visiting this restaurant for several years now. Have just returned home after a 7 day holiday and ate at the Girassol 3 times. As in previous years the quality of the food and the service was excellent. I’ve visited numerous eateries in Quarteira and in my experience the Girassol has been consistently the best. Personal reviews are always subjective, so this is just my experience, but based on that I would recommend a visit. It’s quietly situated one street back from the sea front and well worth searching out.

Comedy of errors !! Went here Tuesday night, not overly busy, drinks came quickly but the starters took over 30 minutes to arrive ( my wife had bread and I had garlic bread) I even had to go and ask where they were !! I asked for the Garlic bread what without cheese and it came with cheese !! I find it quite sickly with cheese, staff had vanished so eat what I could but half way through the main courses arrived!! I asked for steak medium to well done but it was still bleeding blood when I cut it !! Miraculously the staff had vanished again so I eat what I could but it was chewy and tasteless, only when we had nearly finished the waitress came over and asked if everything was okay, told her my disappointment and t she said ‘would you like it cooked some more’. !! Really need to get their act together!! My wife’s Piri piri chicken was okay but was only 3 small thighs !!

Amazing little restaurant. The chicken wings are fabulous and so is the beef kebab which is a beautiful steak cooked with vegetables on a skewer. Brilliant service from Aldid (sorry if misspelled), smiles all around. We only had a limited time in the area but went back for more. Can highly recommend, thank you.

Very nice restaurant,however it is spoiled by the amount of time waiting for the food. I had an enjoyable time eating here, definitely helped by the nice waiters

Visited twice with my family and was really impressed. The food was a very good standard. The octopus and sweet potatoes was particularly nice. The service was also very good and both the food and drinks were reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend to others.

We had dinner here on one evening during our stay in Quarteira. The restaurant is located just off the promenade in Quarteira. Although the food was good I thought it was a little overpriced in comparison to other restaurants we visited during our stay. It is very clean and well maintained with seating both inside and outside.

Wow! It's our 3rd time in Quarteira and every time we visit we eat at Girassol. This time we have a little one so we like the food options and staff recommendations. We visited Quarteira last time a few years ago and yesterday we found the same friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant set back from the sea front. Straightforward menu. Good food. We had chicken and pork escalopes, with rice/chips and veg. Very tasty. Pleasant staff. If there was a rating for value for money, it would be5*. Overall a great experience. Would have rated 4.5 if I could.

Terrific food and service. Our group arrived with 9 people at 22.00 and got wonderful service. The carbonara, veggie burger, brazilian beef, and Pecanje were all terrific, and the prices were very reasonable for the prominent location. Great experience, would strongly recommend!
