As it is a beach with restricted access, that is, the only way to get there is by cable car €13 per person, this is the only restaurant available for the whole day.
The positive point is the magnificent view, however, the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired…
The zucchini and mushroom spaghetti was terrible… as was the fried corn, which was cold and soft. I think it's just a tourist scam.
Very high prices for the quality that, in this case, are not suitable.
I recommend bringing food from home for those who want to spend the day at the beach, it will be much more worth it.

Disastrous staff that makes you wait for 15-20 minutes even though they noticed that they are still on their cell phones all the time.

Terrible and tasteless food, disproportionate costs, absolutely not worth it!!
Bring food from home which is better
12 euros for the funicular + 48 euros for practically nothing
Vegetarian options: Yes, there are three dishes, one worse than the other

At lunchtime we had the widely praised Espada for €17.50, the portion was completely OK. The food was on the table after 5 minutes and was lukewarm. The quality was more like a canteen, we had had very fresh and much better food on the island for the same price.
On the second attempt in the afternoon, the waitress didn't feel like it anymore and, despite asking about the drinks menu, she just listed the drinks for us.(?)
Third attempt: After a long period of ignorance, we were able to order coffee and cake. First the coffee came after a long wait and 20 minutes later the cake.
Everything was a bit unfortunate...
Due to the location, the ambience is very OK.
Conclusion: cable car ride and location great, maybe you should order dishes that you can't make in advance and keep warm?

The starters were very delicious but the truth is that the main dishes had much to be desired. The black spaghetti was especially bad, with a bad sweet and sour sauce, poorly poached onions and everything poorly presented.

We ordered an escabeche sword which was delicious. Friendly staff and very pleasant and quiet space.

We stayed here, we also went for lunch. The setting of the banana plantation under the cliff is beautiful. For lunch we had bolo do caco, limpets and dorado. All good, fast and attentive service. At the same time, the celebration of São João, St. John. There was mass at the dock and decorations on the ground.
It was a restaurant that promised a lot but left a lot to be desired, from the food to the service...
We arrived with a reservation and were greeted by an employee who was not very friendly, but that was ok... We then ordered the limpets and the bolo do caco which were both fantastic, everything indicated that the quality of the food would be the salvation of this establishment but no... We ordered fish dishes that either lacked flavor or the portion indicated on the menu was lower than what was served.
With this disappointment we decided to order a dessert and a tiny slice of cake arrived, for the price of almost €6 it's mocking the tourist... I've paid less and been better served...
An experience clearly not to be repeated...

Eating in Garden of Paradise! Acces to the restaurant only with teleferico (very spectacular) and from the sea. The food is very good, is honest and the prices are decent for eating in that place, on the ocean shore. Is best to make a reservation in advance.

been there several times. great place, but the food...tables with a direct view of the sea are marked 'reserved', even though nothing is reserved - you probably want to save yourself the distance, service is absolutely unmotivated and unfriendly...espada little, small banana and Dry and fried almost black - the only good thing (1 star) was the specially ordered garden vegetables. But the absolute hit was the mixed fruit plate for 4.50 euros - just cheeky, because the trees here are full of fruit, but you get 5 thinly sliced fruit slices each... the price-performance ratio here is not right at all.
