“Visiting the island and after a long day of exploring, stopped at the grocery store but were too tired to cook. We lucked out and chose to go to Boteco do Miguel. The owner was very friendly and spoke English very well. The pizza was very good, certainly the best we have had for years. We were going to take it to go, but decided to eat in, which was a good decision. It was excellent fresh from the oven. We will make it a priority to go back before we leave to go home. The free parking lot across the street (enter from the back) made it super easy to stop and eat.

“This place is both a restaurant and a cafe, belongs to the volunteer fire department. The locals eat here, the food is freshly prepared and tastes normal. Food is only served there at lunchtime, you can also eat there in the evening. On the beautiful large terrace you have a wonderful view in all directions. Prices are local. You can charge your cell phone on the terrace, there are several sockets and USB charging sockets installed. This is still an insider tip for tourists. Free parking is available!“

“I went to this establishment yesterday with a group of friends and two children and we arrived half an hour before closing. We were hungry because we waited more than 1 hour to be served at another establishment and finally we gave up and went to this Lua do Sul pizzeria.

We were immediately greeted with a smile and the man who served us immediately said that no one would be left without food there.

Fantastic pizzas filled with ingredients! We were comforted and the children were happy! And even after closing the Pizzeria, Mr. allowed us to eat freely on the terrace without rushing us.

I wish all establishments had employees with the same kindness that this gentleman had towards us.
