“We go to this restaurant every year. We always come to eat their shrimp with sauce that is very delicious. We also ordered Portuguese meat and it is very tasty. I recommend coming here and the owner can be a little abrupt at first but once you get to know him you like him, he is friendly and tells interesting stories.“

“Having arrived here only thanks to its rating of 4.6/5 on Google Maps, I loved my lunch in this small, typical Portuguese family restaurant, frequented mainly by locals. The boss welcomed me very kindly with a few words of French.Homemade bread, olives, butter & glass of dry white wine as an impeccable aperitif.Homemade lasagna is not only hearty, but just as delicious, accompanied by a glass of red wine ? without reproach. And I, who am a long-distance walker and therefore am not a fan of desserts at all, I ordered an absolutely divine pear in wine, the best of my life, without a doubt.???Soft addition of ? € for this lunch, in your opinion?€18.95!What more could you ask for, other than silently appreciating your happiness at its true value? ???“

“This restaurant is run by a known chef in Portugal and only offers menus with either 4 or 7 dishes that you can accompany with a. very good selection different wines (optional). The dishes served were exceptionally prepared and served at a right pace. I went for the 4 dishes menu, which was enough for my hunger. The menu changes from time to time, so I can witness what was served on 31.07.24. My highlight of the menu were the raviolis and the shrimp in nectarines with corn foam was simply excellent. It worths definitely a visit, you spend an amazing dinner with a nice view to Odeceixe. This is a Michelin Guide restaurant.“

“This was the perfect place to be for a holiday! We went there for lunch and dinner. The portions are huge and it really feels as if a Portuguese grandma has cooked the food with love. You can even see the lady cooking from a tiny window and we always waved at each other- the atmosphere was heartwarming. We will come back to this restaurant everytime we are in Madeira“

“For a lunch meal. Without a doubt the best tuna tataki we have tasted, both in quality and quantity and for only 14 euros.
The fish rice was also very good.
The waiter (who speaks French) was very pleasant.
We highly recommend this restaurant“

“I ate seafood rice at this place in 2021 and I dream of going back to it to this day. I had to book another trip to the Algarve just to be able to eat this dish again. Fresh and well seasoned in a way that doesn't become a mess on the palate. DIVINE! Quality Portuguese food.“

“This is our second experience in a few days, the meals are copious and very well prepared, both the fish and the meat! The prices are very reasonable (€12.50 for the meal in the photo)
There is a waitress who is particularly nice, it was very nice to have her!
I recommend, both for children and adults.“

“Tasca in the upper part of the town with typical Portuguese food.
The rice dishes are highly recommended, especially the rice with razor clams.
Pretty good price for the quantity-quality ratio
The rice portion for two people is very abundant, three eat with this portion so do not order many starters.
Parking: Parking on the street, in summer somewhat difficult to park“

“Monday night, relax and cozy place to eat authentic portugese food. We had the choco frito (fresh, fried calamari)and loved it! Tuna steak was super fresh, delicious garnish and well seasoned. The deserts are all homemade and the caramel egg and creme cake was delicious. We recommand 100%. From french canadians tourist.“
“We have been to this bar before having visited this area in Portugal for many years, and this time it was a very different experience. We tried the tapas small plates. The food was amazing, the delicacy of the flavours was superb & the homemade bread was truly delightful, so fresh. When you add all the small dishes together it is not a cheap meal but you don’t need a vast amount of food as the intensity of the flavours satisfy. The staff were helpful, informative & very efficient. And of course complements to the chef. We hope to return when we next visit the area.“

“The food was absolutely delicious, the best I've had in the western Algarve. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take photos, the food was so tasty that as soon as I tried it, a moment later the entire portion was gone. I recommend trying secretos porco preto (black pork) and lulas a Algarvia. The wine is also very interesting, vinho verde and the home-made white wine is very interesting. I recommend it with pure heart!“
