“Thursday hot July night The place is small, like a wide hallway. At night it opens from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. In what would be the first shift (7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.) it was full of foreigners of the "English only but nice-nice" type and when we arrived there was only one table left. The service seemed a little stressed to us because of that "English only" customer who wants everything to be "cool", and even that, it was an agile, pleasant and decisive service. At 9pm practically all the "English only" tourists had left and the place was no longer as noisy and crowded as it seemed when we arrived.

Regarding the food, they had three options (which ensures that they make everything in the same place). We ordered quinoa cake but then they told us that there was only one left for one person, so they offered us two additional alternative dishes. In general we liked it a lot, everything was tasty and satisfying (although it is true that what defines the dish itself did not reach 25% of the total dish, the rest was rice, salad, etc.). To put a small nuance, perhaps my dish was a little too spicy and the quinoa cake, we understand that because it is the last one, a little dry, nothing serious, all this depends on taste!

In general, the site fulfills its function of being 100% good-nice-cheap vegetarian in a simple and friendly way.“

“It was not our first time when this restaurant was “on our radar”, as we visited the region one year before, and wanted to try it out. At that time, my girlfriend felt like the menu was focusing too much on fish, and I can fairly say that, one year later, wow, was she wrong :).

The location itself, whilst not very impressive from the outside, is very cozy and well designed on the inside, just perfect for a relaxed, yet memorable dining experience. The staff was very attentive and their English was spot on (I am Portuguese, but my girlfriend prefers English, so all of the dishes were explained and presented accordingly).

It’s not by chance that one of the menus was called the “Balanced” menu, as for us - who like fine dining, and are no strangers to 1 star Michelin restaurants, especially in Portugal - it was, perhaps, the most perfectly combined set of dishes we ever had.
Chef Antonio Loureiro succeeded in designing the menu in such an incredible way, that every dish (and I do not exaggerate when saying EVERY dish) was as tasty as it comes. The flavors, the attention to detail, but most importantly, the selection of ingredients, were the things that impressed us most. Looking back, it was hard to pick just one dish that stood out…because we liked them all.

For lunch they do the old-school set menu thing with soup plus a choice of 3 or 4 mains. Plus a big jug of tap water for free. Price was 7 euros for just the main or 8 with soup. There's also a selection of desserts at extra cost, around 3 euros each. Everything we ordered was fantastic: veal stew, squid with beans, cheesecake, caramel mousse and chocolate mouse. The setting is also great - nice, funky decor and a very comfortable terrace out back.

Very well maintained rustic house. The menu is very varied, with obvious emphasis on the different ways of serving cod. We chose the same one wrapped in puff pastry, and I guarantee it was the most divine cod I've eaten outside of home in a long time! Only by trying it will you be sure of what I say.
