“My family and I chose this restaurant for its offering of the true flavors of Portuguese cuisine and we really weren't disappointed until dessert time.
The dessert chosen by my husband and I was a lemon meringue tart...existing lemon, meringue from poorly cooked egg whites that left us with a gastrointestinal problem for 3 days.
We notified the restaurant and were told it was impossible as they had not received any other complaints.

“The best steak in town! Try their namesake steak, or the pepper steak, they are the best!! The service is always an experience. They love to treat you like an old friend, and we bring friends here all the time and never had anything less than an awesome time. Lazarus (spelling) has served us a half dozen times and loves having me try, and get better, at my Portuguese. He, along with the other host, are hands down the best hosts ever!!!!

“We liked the site a lot. Very close treatment, with a lot of attention.
We asked to eat on the outdoor roof and there was no problem with space. The only thing to keep in mind is that to go up, there are 2 flights of narrow stairs. In case you go with mobility restrictions.
We also found the food very good. The goat cheese with honey and almonds, which has such good reviews, is not something out of this world, as it is a large slice of goat cheese, with honey and almond sauce on top. But it is true that it is very rich.
However, we loved the fish (we ordered tuna and sea bass, and I couldn't say which was better). Quite generous portions. When they brought them they looked bland in the garnish, until they brought the garnish separately, very generous too! (Potato, broccoli and boiled carrot). The fish, grilled, was delicious and very fresh. I completely recommend it.
We will definitely return when we are in the place.

It was on the advice of Mr Pedro and the Chef to try the Ribeye as an alternative to the Costeleta and Posta Arouquesa. “A MUST WHEN VISITING TAVIRA.
Came here after my parents recommendation and was not disappointed. Situated only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town, we came back again as the food was to die for.
First night we had the gambas, fried fish with tomato rice, stewed pork rib (special) and the tuna salad. Absolutely stunning. Make sure to dash the tuna salad with Olive Oil and vinegar. Really brings out the flavours.
Second time we had the special sword fish cooked in parsley and garlic butter (special) and the duck rice. Both stunning meals.

They have managed to capture the locals hearts and it’s never not busy. Can’t thank the team enough for such a lovely part to our holiday!
