Excellent place to eat traditional Algarve mountain food. Good cuisine, and very good quality/price ratio.
I recommend.

A great find, a little off the beaten track, but well worth the trip.Excellent homemade food, with regional dishes from the interior of the Algarve - we ate chicken with tomato, stewed veal and a chickpea stew that delighted everyone, kids and adults alike! The restaurant has a spacious, well-decorated room (often these more homely food restaurants are quite humble in this aspect - this is not the case at all!). Private parking in front of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and did everything they could to accommodate the needs of a large group who showed up "by surprise".The price is more than fair, especially considering the quality and quantity of the doses.I highly recommend it and I'm already planning to return during the summer holidays.

I made a reservation for 4 people, being the second on the list on a fado night. I was sent back to the secondary room with no kindness from the owner. No right to fado. It was unacceptable to make a reservation, for my table to be occupied by mistake on the part of the owner and for us to be left out. And yes, I'm honest, I paid the bill despite the owner's unacceptable attitude. When I went to call her attention, she still thought I was too indignant. Like this? Who wasn't outraged? How do you explain to a customer that you are second on the reservation list and are left without a table arriving on time! There is no possible explanation. Is this professionalism? He sat us down in another room without the right to fado, saying he would try to resolve it. The solution never arrived. Lack of professionalism and honesty. I'll never go back there again.

I enjoyed the interaction! I heard wonderful fados, where we can all participate. The food is tasty and the space is very pleasant. The employee (man) is not at all friendly, but otherwise I recommend stopping by for a very pleasant evening.

Homemade and good food, service with some restrictions unfriendly employee with no visibility to sell and serve the customer, we were a busy table I asked him to bring more starters and for a busy table he brought one starter from each of the cover charge which the people at the ends didn't arrive.Management has some difficulty understanding some things, they have lost a lot of quality.

The restaurant was quiet when we went and quite a few dishes were unavailable. This is not a problem, however the service was terrible. The woman serving was clearly annoyed at our request to sit outside ( it was august & our last evening in the Algarve) but seemed happy to oblige when Portuguese customers also asked to sit outside. The outside was empty so we were not taking anyone’s table. The olives were delicious, presumably local and the rest of the meal was good but not acceptable however, when we came to leave the woman who had come out to chat to the Portuguese customers, pointedly kept her back to us and did not acknowledge us. We needed the bill as we had a taxi booked. After 20 minutes we went inside to ask the male waiter who was lovely & very helpful. When our taxi came we left and despite being next to the woman ( presumably the owner) she did not even acknowledge us. We left a tip and thanked the man but we will not be back as the food was fairly average and we were made to feel uncomfortable.

We spent a very nice evening in this typical Portuguese restaurant. We were able to sit outside and although we don't speak Portuguese at all, we were served very lovingly in a mixture of English and Portuguese. As I am a vegetarian, I was prepared a delicious omelette with cheese and mushrooms, which tasted very good. My son really enjoyed the tuna steak and the dessert in particular - the almond cake - was delicious. It was just nice for us to experience such an original, loving restaurant, where you are treated nicely and also have the feeling that everything is freshly prepared. We can absolutely only recommend this.
