“We had a delicious tasting menu coomprising 10 separate courses. They were all described by George so we knew what we were eating. All the dishes were superb, but particular mention must be made for the Lamb Madras and the Fish Bhuna. I will definitely be ordering these ttwo dishes again very soon.“

“There are a number of dishes on their menu which are naturally suitable for vegans (although listed under ‘vegetarian options’, and they will happily adapt their dishes marked as ‘vegetarian’ to veganise them. The staff are knowledgeable about veganism and know their menu extremely well and were happy to advise me and make suggestions. I chose the vegetable biriyani, which was primarily a rice dish which had been created with a mixture of vegetables (not fried in ghee/butter) and cooked with spices. They asked me about my preferred heat/spice level and created a fantastic tasting meal which was perfect for me and a large portion size! The staff member even created a special ‘peshwari’ roti for me, using ground coconut, almonds and raisins (not using ghee/butter or honey). It tasted so sweet and fragrant, and because it was cooked fresh to order, it was delightful. They paid a lot of attention to detail with my order and explained everything fully to me about the cooking process so I knew that they understood my requirements, which allowed me to fully enjoy my meal. It was also extremely reasonably priced! It isn’t always easy in that side of the Algarve to find a restaurant that understands vegan requirements and goes out of their way to help. I wish I had taken a picture of the meal, but I only realised after I had eaten it all!“

The only slight issue was the atmosphere, for some reason the place didn't get busy until 9pm. “Really lovely waiting staff, they were kind enough to remember us from last year and I loved how they fixed our table to be level without us having to ask. We were eating outside in the street which is lovely. Our kids beg us to take them at least once for sushi in Faro when we visit for vacation and Kaira has been twice in a row for us. Fish is very fresh, good sushi!

“This restaurant has a top notch food with top notch service and a great ambience. This is 100 times better than one we tried two days ago near Faro Marina. The quantity is very good and quality as well. One must try “Saag Paneer” which the best in this region. Masala chai is also a must try. Request the friendly staff to add sugar when preparing the tea. All Naans and rice are good in quality and quantity. Overall great experience ?????

“Came across this sushi on our last day in Faro, and we were so sad we couldn’t fit in another visit - it was amazing!! The sushi was incredible, maybe the best we’ve had. We were served by Ruben who was so lovely and explained everything to us in English, he gave us great recommendations, and explained each piece of sushi and its story. We had a salmon tartare to start, then shared a mix platter between 3, and a jug of lychee sangria - which was also, wow! I would return to Faro even if it was just to eat this sushi again ☺️“

“I were happy to find this small restaurant going off the Happy cow reviews. The owner who serverd our table was friendly, and helped by pointing out the Vegan options there was around 5 or 6 in total including starters. I went for the mixed plate which was interesting with alternitive tastes, There was a green wilted leaf called Rayo Sagg, it was like spinnach but a stronger taste, and a little firmer the owner grows this himself, also on the plate was some mildly spiced vegatables, two different pickles, a Dalh and rice and poppodom. The portions are average, I would suggest adding a starter if you are very hungry.“

“Amazing sushi and overall Japanese food experience! Not sure why the review below states there is limited fish choice and complains about fruit in the sushi in Portugal. There are sushi options without mango/ tropical fruits and besides- you’re in Portugal so why criticise the sushi they serve with a Portuguese twist?!
They had lots of different fish / seafood on the menu- tuna, salmon, white fish, Mackrell, crab, and sardines which are all Portuguese rather than imported. I am also vegetarian and had edamame, miso soup, veggie roles (they do a 20 piece vegan plate too) and sea weed salad. Everything was perfect.

The presentation of the food was impeccable, and the chef gave us 2 extra dishes and the waiter a free white wine. He also helped the table next to us entertain their baby so they could eat their food.

Most hospitable place we have been to in Portugal, good prices and excellent sushi - can’t recommend enough.“

Visited twice during my trip for lunch. First time had the lamb rogan josh and second time chicken curry (madras strength). €7.25 and €6.50, all served with rice, naan bread and salad.

Food was very tasty, but could've done with a bigger portion of curry, even if they add an extra euro onto the price.
