“It is a restaurant well hidden in the tangle of neighboring houses. Maps helped us. There is a parking lot at the back, which many are unaware of, parking in the narrow streets of the place. The food is at the customer's discretion, being of good quality, with frequent replacement in the different sectors, from starters to desserts. It is more geared towards groups, although small families also choose it. We booked a table and was agreed 15 euros per person excluding drinks. We like it. We will be back.

“It was muy muy excelente. We had no idea what we were in store for. We just wanted some authentic Portuguese food while staying in Lisbon. Everything was really good and they were very good hosts. They were so! The food didn't take very long either. We had the golden bream and punch potatoes. I would definitely come back.“

“It's a very simple restaurant without any kind of luxury but very good at what it does, the steaks are excellent and I saw many customers ordering other grilled dishes with a lot of flavor.
good appearance and I ate, drank and was very satisfied. Parking is a little more difficult but it's well worth it. I really liked it and I intend to go back. The staff are not only very good but also fun, that's my opinion. I recommend.
Parking: As it is a semi-industrial area it is a little difficult to park but nothing out of this world.“

“Great restaurant conveniently located in the centre of Sintra. Staff are very attentive and professional. Food is well presented and well cooked with full of flavour. I would recommend both for a relaxed dinner as well as a romantic occasion. To be safe book ahead but when we went in, there were plenty of free tables, albeit it was an early dinner“

“Revelation.
Very nice, professional and helpful service. Nice welcome, excellent proactive contact with guests.
You can feel that the approach to food is very good. The menu is not overloaded, the dishes are partly made from home-made products.
We can definitely recommend what we ate: Camaro a Tasco, Choco Frito, Cacholeira. And delicious ice cream.
The background music is also spot on, and there's a local atmosphere so you don't feel like you're a tourist.
Thank you. We will try to come back someday.“

“The food is prepared with care and cooked to perfection. I recommend the beef cheek with gratin. The fried seafood mix is also a great pick. Service can be slow due to being overcrowded, yet it is worth the wait and the staff is kind and professional. This location has both interior and exterior seating, keep “

“A relaxed and very nice place, with domestic tappas and some main dishes.
We ate some tapas and burgers. The burger was one of the top 3 that I ate. The waiter was great and translated the Portuguese menu into brilliant English. Definitely worth a return visit soon.

“We just spent a couple of days in Cascais and went twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Food is great, cool laidback atmosphere. Service is super friendly. Just a bit slow at the end when we wanted to pay and leave (both times we had to ask for the check multiple times). But a cool place to eat and have a drink nonetheless.“

“Charming little restaurant with great wine-food pairings. Friendly staff and very helpful explanations on their different selections of Portuguese wines! Highly recommend the roasted fig salad, the roasted peppers dish, and the game sausage!

“Best seaside dining option in Cascais! All seats have a view of the beautiful beach and harbor and the food was so good that we went back twice! Highly recommend the breaded squid. As a peanut butter lover I was pleasantly surprised to find a peanut butter, caramel, and chocolate dessert on the menu. ❤️“

“A really lovely late lunch/early dinner. Sat outside and had a great time. We got piri piri prawns, breaded cuttlefish, bruschetta, sautéed mushrooms, honey sausage - would recommend all of those! Sangria was great and we tried the port too. The service was excellent, very kind people and felt like a very authentic experience and opportunity to learn more about Sintra. It’s about 5 minutes from the station so ideal for the start or end of a day trip. Also, they have soft blankets if it feels a little chilly. A highlight of our holiday and a meal we won’t forget!“

Attentive and careful service. Traditional Portuguese food, with fish and meat. Presentation of dishes with aesthetics and balance.“

“Lovely restaurant tucked into a beautiful street in Colares, Portugal. Our dining companion had the tasty Shrimp soup and we had the fresh fish entrees. We had a wonderful leisurely lunch with wine and good companions. This spot has a serene vibe with beautiful food and scenery.“

“The place is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The pasta is served… differently. You won’t get the plate with the pasta directly. The waiter will come with a different portable table on which they have the pans in which the pasta was cooked. Then they’ll put the pasta on the plate in front of you. It’s stupid, but for some reason, really enjoyable.
We really liked it and we recommend the restaurant.
If you go, make sure to order some wine, it will make everything even better.“

“Really nice place out in cascais. Service was great, prawns and fish too. The only thing (which was probably on us) was that the octopus just tasted of olive oil which took over a bit, but it also said on the menu “cooked in olive oil” so. Lovely view and great location“

“A delightful time was had here. This is a teeny restaurant, run by a husband and wife who clearly take a lot of pride over every detail - from the decor and ambience, to the quality of every ingredient on the recipe. The hospitality was generous and appreciated - and the food was delicious. I had a couple of the starters which were interesting and very tasty. A good time was had by all. 10/10 would recommend.“

“EXCELLENT! A warm and family place. Typical and varied dishes but above all very good! The desserts are homemade by the owner and they are delicious! The staff is attentive and gives good advice.
We had a lovely time, we'll come back for sure. Advice, book.“

“I can't give it 5 stars because the service left a little to be desired, we rushed as soon as we arrived to order because they closed at 3:00 p.m. (but they accept a reservation at 2:30 p.m.)… Otherwise everything was good, good cuisine (the fish and very delicious grilled octopus) and reasonable price.“

“Nice restaurant with very pleasant team.
The moules are really Good especially the Gratinados as a starter.
As for the main dishes, it would be great if we can have a refill of moules because even if they are big moules it is not enough for someone with a great appetite.
As non-alcoholic, we didn't try the gin
Kid-friendliness: Share one plate between two kids.“

“I had a simply stunning lunch, starting with the service which was excellent, the chef's touch of refinement in the presentation of the starters and desserts was divine.
Everything was very good, from the preparation to the perfect combinations of ingredients.
A really top lunch in every aspect.“

“The food was good, the plates were quite filling, the prices were consistent with what was served and the location and the attentive and friendly staff but I want to make special mention that a client came with his dog and as soon as he sat down they immediately gave him water and even gave him water. They gave a prize. They were attentive and loving even with the dog and for me it is something super important. The place is spacious and has a terrace but it fills up quickly.
Parking: It's crazy to take the car to Sintra
Wheelchair accessibility: Sintra itself is a place that is not very accessible due to the number of slopes you encounter along the way.“

“Small and cozy restaurant with a young and very friendly staff that has delighted us with their cuisine. We tried the cod, octopus and picanha and everything was delicious. Thank you very much to all the staff for your kindness and congratulations on the great food you have given us. We hope to visit you again on our next visit to Lisbon.“

“It is the best place to eat and dine in Sintra. Traditional and homemade food. Professional, attentive and close service. The price is affordable and they make you feel at home. Without a doubt if we return to Sintra we will repeat for sure.“

“If we return to Sintra, we will definitely repeat. Homemade food and very good service. The dishes are abundant and at a good price.
First we ordered the grelhado cheese which was very good. The house offers you starters at the table and if you don't want them you just have to tell them so they don't charge you for them. For the main course we ordered a bacalhau with cream and a maminha. The food was 10 and we were full. The attention is very close and very good even if we are tourists, they treat you as if you were one of the locals. They have made us feel very comfortable. My congratulations to the place for achieving such good results in Sintra, where most restaurants are expensive and offer poor quality.“

“We discovered this place by chance coming up from Belém, after seeing the area, and we really liked it: a humble place, with homemade food, but it was very worth it. Great value for the price.
Although the house specialty was roast chicken (we saw several people coming to order and take it home), we ordered a beef skewer with bacon, which came with rice, fries and salad, and also a shrimp omelette , with the same accompaniment; We really liked both things. Strong dishes with very good flavor.
The menu is extensive, with numerous options to choose from. The waiter who served us was very friendly. Two dishes with a drink for €28, excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
Vegetarian options: There are several meat-free options.“

“Excellent place with great food and outstanding service! Lately it’s our place to go whenever we have guests coming over as we know Assador won’t disappoint. They are very attentive to our order and our needs, including our dog☺️. Today we received great service from Ruben who ensured the food and the choices we made are exactly what we wanted. He kindly brought a bowl with cold water for our dog as well! I will always recommend this restaurant for a fabulous meal and great service.“

“Excellent atmosphere, good service and excellent food.
The only negative point is that the tables were too close together, leading to little privacy.
-
We went back there after 1 year and the quality of the dishes dropped a lot, making it an expensive restaurant that just served “ok” food.“

“Place to do, very good food, welcoming waiter (if you have a sense of humor), among the places to eat in Lisbon (eat locally) it's a very good option! To do ! The octopus salad is very well seasoned! Very good dish (one of the rare Portuguese places where you can eat well)! On the other hand, you have to pay the price to eat in volume (if that doesn't scare you, go for it!)“

“For dinner we ordered some ham croquettes, some garlic prawns and a picaña, and we couldn't say which was the best choice. The owners 100/10, impeccable. “A quality restaurant. Excellent service. Product quality. A magnificent kitchen. A most pleasant atmosphere. Beautiful dining room and very nice terrace. 20 years of customers, every time we are in Cascais we eat there at least once. The price depends on what is requested. It can be very reasonable. And if the price is not the problem (it will never be exaggerated, Cascais is not Cannes) you will surely get it right.“

“Absolutely lovely authentic Portuguese food. We had the oxtail, the turbot, and the mushroom rice. Also the starters were amazing including the dried Tuna salad and the squid. “This place has a beautiful atmosphere. The owner really cares. It has been running for 13 years! The menu changes daily and is cooked with love. They have, what they call a visual menu. Such a lovely experience. When you arrive you are shown the food on a big table and a staff member explains what everything is and answers any questions. The food was delicious and home style. ❤️🙏“

“Having tried many restaurants in Cascais Marina, Trium is hands down the best.
Owned by three Brazilian sisters, the place blends very good vibes with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food menu has an amazing variety of Portuguese food.
Everything that we ordered was good, cod fish, tomahawk, tuna. The food is definitely made with love.
The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations. With a great wine list and creative cocktails, Trium is a top spot for a fantastic meal. Can’t wait to go back!“

“One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at! A refined space, thought out in detail. Very elegant and rustic decor! Very friendly, super helpful, high care and professional service!
We ate fillet steaks with mushroom sauce, black linguini with shrimp and octopus in a lagareiro style. Everything is excellent and at very affordable prices given the good quality too!
We also ordered some desserts, but without a doubt the cheesecake is the best ✨
I will be back and I highly recommend it! See you soon!“

“Honestly, it's been a while since I've been to a restaurant where I left so satisfied. Everything was great. A good balance between price/quality. Good quality dishes and the food is made to order. We ordered several dishes and they were all good without anything outstanding. Sardines, bitoque, secretos, fried mackerel and Algarve squid. All these dishes were very well served. House wine could be better. The staff was very friendly and professional. I recommend!“

“A wonderful experience for the palate as well as a great deal. Something to keep in mind and that as Spaniards we are not used to, without prior notice, once you sit down at the table, the olives, the tub of butter, the tub of cheese spread, the tub of fish pâté and the four slices of bread You neither ask for them nor do you have the option of not having them on the table, they charge you quite expensive for what it is...“

“I had the most incredible lunch at Caricato. Greatly situated with views of Serra de Sintra and close to the beach, what makes this restaurant special is the truly remarkable food and wine offerings. The grilled squid was an absolute delight, bursting with flavor. To make it even more special, the staff is warm and helpful which made us feel right at home. The cooks are undeniably talented; every dish is a feast! Caricato is definitely my favourite restaurant in the area.“

“Food was delicious and service was over the top well done. Delicious appetizers. Fresh fish shown to pick out, then prepared with our choice of sides. We were seated next to area where we could watch it being prepared. Warm plates upon serving. Mojitos were better than from Cuba or Miami. Desert of warm chocolate cake paired with a raspberry sorbet. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend!“

“This is the third time I've been there and I'm never disappointed! Very good value for money, the quantities are really generous and the waiter is very friendly! We didn't have to wait long and everything was as we wanted. The bife a cortador is really excellent (for two, even three people). We took a skewer (meia-dose) for one person, it was very good (for gourmands/big eaters, the normal dose is two skewers). We'll come back!“
