“We were today in Casa Mateus and we confirm all the best comments. The meals were incredible; prepared delicately and with very good taste.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere very nice.
For this reason we reserved a table after tomorrow again, to taste a variety of dishes.

“The place is located in one of the nicest areas of Sesimbra. Our table had sea view which was perfect for a family lunch.

We have chosen the tiger prawns, the tuna steak and the entrecôte! All of the them were perfectly cooked and tasted divinely. Props to the tuna dish which was my favorite of them all.

The sides variety could be better, we felt like it was lacking at least one vegetable option. The salad was nothing special and did no justice to the dishes that were served.

A solid choice if you are planning to spend the day in Sesimbra!“

“My wife and I visited this little restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I could be wrong, but I think it’s a couple who run/own it. We had olives to start, a 1.5L bottle of water, a bottle of wine, 2 beers and two main meals. All for €24. My mixed grill, salad and fries was stunning and my wife loved her roast piri piri chicken. Toen uitkwam dat ook zei Nederlands kon werden we zeer vriendelijk en goed geholpen. We hebben daar diverse malen de lunch als ook diner gehad en we werden met raad en daad bijgestaan omdat ik (als diabeet zijnde) wel wat problemen en "eisen" had. Het eten was goed, ruim voldoende en de service was (in onze ogen) optimaal en zou toeristen zeker aanraden hier te gaan eten.“
