Great restaurant conveniently located in the centre of Sintra. Staff are very attentive and professional. Food is well presented and well cooked with full of flavour. I would recommend both for a relaxed dinner as well as a romantic occasion. To be safe book ahead but when we went in, there were plenty of free tables, albeit it was an early dinner

The food was good, however we were charged for tap water (1€ per glass) and 6,7€ for a glass with lemon and ice. Yes. 6,7€ for an empty glass with lemon and ice for my sparkling water (that I had already paid for).

Chic restaurant with excellent food! The restaurant is located in Sintra in a very discreet setting.
The dishes are very well presented, the cuisine is refined. Each bite is a true delight and bursting with flavor. The wine was just as good!
Everything was perfect from the welcome to the service.
A Raposa is in my top 3 restaurants that I have been to! You can go there with your eyes closed!

The food is tasty, but ordinary, despite the beautiful presentation. The price is a bit high.
This is a small family operated restaurant so they can’t accommodate many like most in Portugal. The old grandma I believe might be the owner was amazing and accommodating, even though we didn’t speak the same language, they would do everything to make sure the guest was comfortable.

It felt like the waiter really wanted us out of the restaurant quickly. We weren't finished with our starter before the main dish was literally pushed in front of us (my girlfriends plate was even removed right under her nose, while she was still holding her appetiser in her hand!)
We had to hurry eating our starters so our main dish wouldn't get cold, and we're guessing this was the intention.
Afterwards, while we looked around, i noticed the wineglass of customers that looked like tourists (ours included) were significantly smaller than the rest... That was just plain weird to be honest.
Food was also expensive and not that great in our opinion. The other restaurants we tried cost 5-7 euro less per dish and tasted better.

We arrived and it all looked very splendid, the door was locked which should have been a red flag, but ringing the bell we got in an wee then frog marched through our meal. The food was ok , great wine but the folded arms and constant walks past our table to hurry us up was horrid
