“Good pasta and pizza. Price is somewhat expensive, especially the drinks, but at the end of the day we are in a very touristy area. Very delicious food and very good service”
“Great restaurant conveniently located in the centre of Sintra. Staff are very attentive and professional. Food is well presented and well cooked with full of flavour. I would recommend both for a relaxed dinner as well as a romantic occasion. To be safe book ahead but when we went in, there were plenty of free tables, albeit it was an early dinner”
“The food was good, the plates were quite filling, the prices were consistent with what was served and the location and the attentive and friendly staff but I want to make special mention that a client came with his dog and as soon as he sat down they immediately gave him water and even gave him water. They gave a prize. They were attentive and loving even with the dog and for me it is something super important. The place is spacious and has a terrace but it fills up quickly.
Parking: It's crazy to take the car to Sintra
Wheelchair accessibility: Sintra itself is a place that is not very accessible due to the number of slopes you encounter along the way.”
“Japanese haute cuisine, with a Michelin star, and which aims, in some way, to fuse with details of Portuguese cuisine. Excellent quality of the fish, and impeccable presentations. Professional attention. As for negative aspects, I will say that I don't think it's good that, in a tasting menu like this, with a high price, they charge you for a coffee, and also 5 euros.I also don't think it's right that they charge six times the RRP for the wine we drank. And, in Portugal, in this restaurant, inside a five-star hotel, not having a white Port of 20 years or more is not acceptable.”

“Very good service, very delicious food, the man who served us was very attentive, he even gave us directions about the city. Good prices and good atmosphere, they have a billiards. Highly recommended.”
“La dueña fue súper amable con nosotros y sabía perfectamente qué era el veganismo. Nos adaptó algunos platos, por lo que pudimos comer pakoras, pan de ajo, masala dhal y biryani.”

“Sintra is rammed with tourists - even in October when we visited. Villa Craft Beer and Bread was like a sea of calm amidst the chaos. Just off the main street, we had a relaxed beer (my wife had Jasmin, I had Ginger) and delicious mini pizzas. Would definitely recommend. Updated from previous review on 2024-10-28”

“The food was very tasty and we were full. But it would be cool if there was cheese on the vegetarian burger too. Otherwise the waitress (young lady with brown hair) was really nice and the food was brought quickly. If you're waiting for the train, I can recommend stopping by there :) Price-performance ratio is great.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burger. Unfortunately it doesn't have cheese.”
“We wanted a hookah lounge and are staying in Ericeira, so the closest was this lounge. Literally the highlight of our trip. We wish we came here every night of our trip. The hookah is the best we have had and we make them at home so are well versed! The aesthetic is beautiful and well thought out. The vibes, food, atmosphere, service, drinks—everything was excellent. Worth the trip and an amazing addition to our vacation.”
“A must-visit restaurant if you are in Sintra.
Traditional cuisine, tasty and good quantity, all with its accompaniments.
We ordered baked sea bass, roast duck and octopus, all great.
To finish, mix of desserts, delicious.
Thank you for the wine recommendation and above all for the good treatment.”
“I have had the pleasure of dining at Buzio on 3 occasions now. It is without doubt, one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The obvious is the incredibly fresh seafood from the best purveyors in PT. The less obvious is the service. It is as good as what you would find in Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris—professional, invisible and incredibly pleasant. The ambiance is always wonderful, with large families and friends enjoying celebratory meals. The wine list features some incredible local winemakers, whose wines pair very well with the dishes. Even the bread is top notch. Fair warning, it is not inexpensive. Love this place.
Parking: Parking is super easy as the restaurant has its own private lot with an easy rear entry.”

“Went to Sintra and it started raining and we were looking for a place to eat, these sweet people from passione pizza started up the pizza oven earlier for us. Also very delicious crusty pizza.”
Outdoor Dining
“Revelation.
Very nice, professional and helpful service. Nice welcome, excellent proactive contact with guests.
You can feel that the approach to food is very good. The menu is not overloaded, the dishes are partly made from home-made products.
We can definitely recommend what we ate: Camaro a Tasco, Choco Frito, Cacholeira. And delicious ice cream.
The background music is also spot on, and there's a local atmosphere so you don't feel like you're a tourist.
Thank you. We will try to come back someday.”
“This slightly hidden place has a lot of vegetarian options and a few vegan options, the prices are fair especially considering the touristic life of Sintra. The outside balcony is a great spot to have a calm lunch. The food is what is expected from an Indian restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-01”
“Very, very delicious food and generous dishes. I ate the piece of beef and it was very good. I only have one drawback, and that is that they give you without asking an appetizer that consists of cheese, bread, olives, and ham and they charge you almost €10 for it. Why are you charging me for something I don't want and haven't asked for?…those things bother me a lot”
“Homemade food. Very affordable daily dishes. Soup of the day, dish, dessert and drink approximately 12 euros per person. Restaurant with different decor with antique crockery.
We ordered some broken eggs as a starter.
The dish of the day, soup and cod with cornbread.
For dessert, a salted caramel mousse (you can share it, because it's quite sweet, but super greedy)
Parking: Private parking on site, free of charge.”
“I'm a Glovo courier and I always collect orders from this restaurant. I was there yesterday, they told me to come in, sit on some sofas reserved for customers, they offered me something to eat or drink (which I didn't accept), I waited for my order and I left there with a good impression and a feeling of dignity that we didn't find it anywhere. Rating 10!”
“Outstanding food in a delightful setting and really good service. The value for money was also very good. We had a stunning Gorgonzola and pear risotto (????) and pork ribs with a lovely fresh salad and good hand cut fries. The house wine was really good. We will return next time we are in the area!”
“La mejor pizza de Sintra sin duda alguna. La masa es espectacular, un tanto diferente a lo habitual, puesto que la tendencia hoy es ir hacia masas más finas, esta, sin embargo, es una masa gruesa y jugosa. La pizza bien cargada de ingredientes frescos y de calidad. La señora que nos atendió fue amable y muy educada. Repetiremos!”
“Great address!
The restaurant offers fresh, quality products.
The service is fast, efficient and friendly.
Remember to book well in advance because you are a victim of its success.”
“A small restaurant with a great view and good food. We had the octopus, a Caipi beforehand, chocolate mousse and apple cake for dessert, an all-round successful evening.”

“I went with four friends and everything was wonderful from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed and the service from the staff was excellent. The food was great, well presented and fresh. The playlist was very good, the sound was at the right volume and the decor was very tasteful.”
“We came here for lunch after visiting Pena Palace. It was a little out of the way, but ultimately meant it wasn't super busy or touristy which I appreciated! We tried the toast with goat cheese and honey, tempura octopus tentacles and black pork belly, and enjoyed all of it! There was only one outdoor table and it was quite hot inside (as well as outside) which was my only hesitation.”
“We had a nice time here. We went there for drinks and to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. On our first visit Sarah waited at our table. She is very helpful and sweet. We were seated and served very quickly. The next afternoon we visited again thanks to our positive experience. This time Marcelo waited at our table. He is super polite, helpful and friendly. Once again we were seated and served quickly. Overall, we had a lovely time relaxing with a glass of wine and some tapas at this restaurant.”
“Briliant! As owner says 'Everything we serve we would serve to our family.' Salada de Anchovas was brilliant. Bravo potatoes out of this world. A hidden gem. I feel sad watching the people pass by,this place is so good. Thank you Casa Merocos. Perfect last night in Portugal.”
“We had our wedding dinner at Sabores de Sintra and we couldn't have chosen better! From the attention and friendliness provided from the beginning, to all the preparation and care for details. The team was always very professional, willing and ready for any unforeseen circumstances. We highly recommend the place :)”
“I was in Sintra visiting the Pena Palace and the tour guides highly recommended Tulhas, especially if you're looking to try seafood rice and I was! The restaurant is small and tight, decorated with tiles and wood, located between the tourism office and San Martin Church. The seafood rice was good, filling and hearty, though I would recommend this dish only for fans of seafood.”
“Firstly, congratulations on the space and service provided by the participants,Contrary to everything I read, the new management has everything very organized, a quiet space, good presentation of tables, the service for making appointments is very friendly and available, I advise you to make an appointment well in advance, as the place was full, beautiful shrimp risotto, it was great advice from our waiter. There is also music and karaoke for those who enjoy a beautiful end to the night with lots of fun with friends.Congratulations once again.”
“Service of ten, especially from the manager/owner. We ate very good quantity and quality and affordable price. It has many tables and is open all day, so you don't even need to reserve, you go and they find a place for you. Totally recommended.”
“Before going up to the Palace, we had lunch in this restaurant.
Everything was perfect, the price, the quality and above all the service.
Many thanks!”

Takeout Restaurants
“We came here for our last dinner of our honeymoon. One lady who was extra helpful and even helped walked us up to the rooftop terrace to watch sunset after our amazing meal. We shared ginja, sangria, a side of delicious mushrooms and a rack of lamb. The lamb was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. We look forward to visiting again!!”

Cheap Eats
“A simple cafe with simple and inexpensive food. Soup 5.90 and second course 7.90 - Pork in white sauce with mushrooms, rice and a salad of chopped vegetables. Very tasty and fast. I didn't have enough energy for desserts, because everything was so filling. I recommend”
“Small shop selling fruit bars, vegan popsicles and several vegan food items, both savoury and sweet, as well as personal care items and a few containers of bulk foods. Some seating available. I took away a generous slice of quiche, made with chunks of beet and other vegetables - very healthy, if not hugely flavourful. The dessert slice was nice.”
“A great surprise…!
Churrasqueira close to our vacation spot, one lunchtime we went there a little late to buy something to eat…. And so we sat down at the table. They speak mainly Portuguese and a little bit of English, but if you are lucky enough like us to have a French speaker at the table, it's the jackpot!!!
We were very well received there and the grills are super good! We had a mix and the dish was suitable for two! The sauces and marinades are very good and the meat is juicy and tender. Go ahead with your eyes closed”
“A jewel near Sintra, essential if you are going to be here for a few days. The place, well decorated with an eighties theme, the food, delicious. First class ingredients and variety. We recommend the club sandwich. The service, of those that tip the balance for being pleasant, friendly, and close. Congratulations.!”
“It was really good Indian Food. I really know what good Indian Food is and I know what kind of bad Indian Food you can get in "good" Restaurants". This was 5star Level.”

“We came here because I needed a break from walking and I'm so glad we did! We had a chocolate crepe and 2 cups of beer sangria - one red and one white. I was skeptical about how beer would blend in a sangria but I absolutely loved it - it's one of the highlights of Sintra for me! I preferred it with the white wine, but both were great!”
“(Translated by Google) Honest and genuine space rooted in the life of a small town at the foot of the Sintra mountains. It has a small terrace where, on the hottest days of the year, mixed toasts with oregano, saucers of snails and well-roasted snails fly. To push, there are some very fresh imperials. Inside, it is common to find lively groups around a cheese and sausage board. On Fridays, as it is Euromillions day, it is difficult to park. Simple and friendly people who serve well and with quality. Excellent option to cool off the afternoon when you are in the Abrunheira region of Sintra.(Original)Espaço honesto e genuíno enraizado na vida de uma pequena localidade no sopé da serra de Sintra. “Restaurant in the heart of Sintra, the service was very friendly. We ordered pasteis de bacalhau as a starter which were good. We then had the porco alentejena which was excellent. The linguiça alheira is served with rice, thin fried potatoes and a green salad which unfortunately lacked seasoning which is a shame.
The value for money is however relatively correct, it is an address that will remain in my notebook for a future trip to Sintra!”
