We had Bacalhau a bras, caldo verde, pasteis de bacalhau and all were very good our first time trying any of these Portuguese dishes! The hostess was super and helpful with describing the menu and suggesting dishes. Great place to eat with average Sintra prices.

There were 7 of us and the waiters were able to find us and prepare a nice table for us.Funny, attentive and attentive waiters, we lacked nothing.The food was delicious, generous and not too heavy. At 25 euros+ per person you'd expect a premium experience. Unfortunately the food doesn't meet this expectation. We ordered 3 dishes, with only 1 meeting the expectations. 1 was so salty we couldn't finish it. The last one was served with multiple issues... The fish skin was not removed in this stew, large bones were almost eaten, and there was a grit that left the impression that they sprinkled it with sand. The worst part was that after being told about these issues they either responded that it was normal or that they were sorry. No replacements were offered, no credits were provided. Avoid avoid avoid.

Although the restaurant only accepts cash, there are no unreasonable charges. We were informed in advance that they only accept cash when we entered the restaurant.

We stopped here on a Tuesday night shortly before closing for a quick bite and a couple drinks and had a lovely time. They had heaters on to cut through the chill outside, and it felt very cozy. The waitstaff were very personable and friendly. Would highly recommend.
