Outstanding food in a delightful setting and really good service. The value for money was also very good. We had a stunning Gorgonzola and pear risotto (????) and pork ribs with a lovely fresh salad and good hand cut fries. The house wine was really good. We will return next time we are in the area!

Absolutely fabulous place to have an elaborate meal. The server was very polite and extremely well versed with Portuguese cuisine and not to forget the wines :) extremely great value for money when it comes to the food and overall experience. Wouldn't recommend missing it!

What a wonderful find, the hosts were very hospitable and food was cooked to perfection! Even the salad was seasoned beautifully!! There was something for everyone. It is cash only but the owners were patient whilst we found the nearest cash point in Sintra.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated inside where the majority of the other patrons were there for a party--this created a very cozy and friendly environment as they were clearly regulars. The food was well prepared and delicious. The only disappointment was the blue sangria. We offered to try it but after 1 glass it was cloying so getting through the putcher was tough. Otherwise an overall enjoyable evening.

A very special location down the hill from Sintra town. Rustic feeling building with garden and small playground for kids. Has a horse farm right next to it too.Really friendly service and good English. Food was great and lots of Portuguese dishes. Amazing warm bread roles in the cover. We got a lasagna which was huge and then a load of the Pesticos (like the clams) which were all very good value for money.I have to also say a massive thanks to the waiter: there was an engagement party going on and they had a cake in the back of the restaurant. Our bloody 3 year old just went up to the cake and stuck his finger into it leaving a really obvious finger hole. No one from the engagement party saw but we felt bad and told the waiter to see if we could figure out a plan to fix it together. He was super nice immediately and told us not to worry and they'd sort it. Really was the nicest way to handle the situation.Really felt like a perfect, non-flashy place to have lunch and totally cool with the kids.One thing: doesn't accept cards so bring cash. Tbf we didn't have cash and so owner let me pay into his Revolut.
Vegetarian options: Has a vegan lasagna and selection of other veg stuff
Kid-friendliness: Has a small playground in the garden and horse farm right next to it
