I had the most incredible lunch at Caricato. Greatly situated with views of Serra de Sintra and close to the beach, what makes this restaurant special is the truly remarkable food and wine offerings. The grilled squid was an absolute delight, bursting with flavor. To make it even more special, the staff is warm and helpful which made us feel right at home. The cooks are undeniably talented; every dish is a feast! Caricato is definitely my favourite restaurant in the area.

It was quite a long wait since we didn’t call ahead! But, I’m glad we wait for it! It was a small restaurant run by only 2 waiters and some chefs inside the kitchen! I love how my soft broccoli goes with the super octopus ? Wonderful dinner! If I lived close by, will definitely go back. ?Great experience❤️

This local restaurant is actually outside Sintra, a 10 minute drive. It was packed with local people. Nuno managed to make room for us. The food is traditional Portuguese. It is good quality and served in abundance. We had the sword fish and the picanha. Both very good. It was a very enjoyable experience to be in a fully Portuguese atmosphere, no tourists. The bill was about €20 per person including a liter of a delicious white sangria.

Don’t be fooled by the humble façade, this is a must try when in Sintra! The food was authentic and delicious, the service and hospitality were amazing, it was definitely one of the top meals that we enjoyed during our 9-day stay in Sintra/Caiscais. Definitely would return and recommend anyone in the area to try this place.
Excellent place to visit. They offered us fish that was hunted today (different types), we also ordered an octopus, some olives, 2 beers and a bottle of wine, which cost us about 50 euros whichI consider very good price for such delicious food. Also, service is great. I would definitely recommend this place
