If we return to Sintra, we will definitely repeat. Homemade food and very good service. The dishes are abundant and at a good price.
First we ordered the grelhado cheese which was very good. The house offers you starters at the table and if you don't want them you just have to tell them so they don't charge you for them. For the main course we ordered a bacalhau with cream and a maminha. The food was 10 and we were full. The attention is very close and very good even if we are tourists, they treat you as if you were one of the locals. They have made us feel very comfortable. My congratulations to the place for achieving such good results in Sintra, where most restaurants are expensive and offer poor quality.

Si quieres comer bien y comer comida portuguesa a buen precio, este es tu sitio. Las raciones son grandes, así que hay que tener cuidado de no pedir demasiado porque no podrás comértelo todo. Tanto la carne como el pescado son de muy buena calidad y la sopa de verduras está muy buena, me recordaba al potaje de acelgas que hacía mi madre.

A traditional tavern with homemade food and very good prices. We ordered francesinha (better than others we had tried), steak a la tasca (in a delicious sauce that resembled cream, York ham and egg) and alhiera a la caça (chicken sausage similar to chorizo, although the flavor is different). To drink we ordered white wine and red fruit sangria, very refreshing. It was quite a meal so I can't comment on the desserts, although they seemed homemade.
