I don’t know where all the negative reviews are coming from, but our experience was great! The food was amazing, as well as service. House wine was great too, literally one of the best places to eat in Sintra.

We were looking for a place to eat late in the day. We ran into Alcobaça that had options for all in our party but I really didn’t had great expectations for the food. We were all VERY pleasantly surprised with the food. We ordered the “Caldo Verde” and a few other things that were very good. We also ordered the “Bacalhau à Casa” (for 2 or 3 people) and it was simply delicious. Don’t miss that dish if you enjoy fish and seafood. A great unexpected experience.

Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Sintra with typical Portuguese cuisine, friendly staff and particular attention to food problems. I reported my celiac disease and they went out of their way to show me the dishes that were not only gluten-free but also had no risk of contamination and therefore I was able to enjoy an excellent local dish without risk. I advise
Dietary restrictions: With regards to people with celiac disease, they know how to recommend gluten-free foods that are safe from the risk of contamination
