I just had dinner there and I didn't want to wait to get to my accommodation to leave a review. The food is amazing. The lady who serves is very kind and polite, she makes you feel at home. Very generous portions and very good prices. I would go again a thousand times.

Nice and friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious. No vegan options available but they prepared for me a huge salat with chickpeas and was happy. Wine was also excellent. Real Portuguese food. Fresh. Delicious. Go there if you are in the area.

A family/typical restaurant, with excellent Portuguese food and very friendly staff: it is one of our "stays" in Sintra, although it is far from the most touristy area.

Traditional quaint portuguese restaurant - portions were huge, hearty and delicious (albeit a tad too salty). The grandmother’s pot was chock full with pork, mushrooms and prawns - and was delightful!!

Very cozy place for a nice meal! Large portions and very tasty food! I had the pork-shrimp-scallop meal and enjoyed it immensely. Nice coffee too!

Sopa D''avo has everything to be a lovely local restaurant, but the service is terrible — specifically, the owner is very cranky. We've had two episodes there and won't be coming back. One time, we had two vegetarian people, and they ordered vegetable soup because they did not have a better option. At the end of the meal, the owner brought us the bill and told us very rudely we shouldn't come back and do that again, order just soup—each person's order needed to be of a proper main dish as if we were trying to scam her by using what was supposed to be a side dish as the main meal. The second time, we had no reservation and walked in to inquire. The owner shooed us away, "No reservation, no place." She was practically shouting. It's a lovely local place, way from the tourist areas of Sintra, but the customer service must improve significantly.

Vegetarian options: Soup, but be careful if you order just that, we had issues when not ordering a full dish.
