It was an excellent restaurant. The food decreased in quality, a lot, in all aspects- flavour, ingredients, diversity; the room that used to bem quiet, fancy and intimate, now has bright lights, uncomfortable seats/ chairs, and, the worst- waiters talking about their business around us and Cleaning noise. It was impossible to enjoy the expensive diner and to have a break and talk with my husband . Sad that it happened because we live near and used to enjoy the place.
Flavor without food?If your tastebuds are hungry but your stomach and wallet are full, look no further. This is the place for you. Spices charges for flavor without offering much food. Their sauces are tasty but the food is completely missing. Have you ever paid more for chicken than caviar? Spices makes that possible. The service is friendly and professional. If you really are hungry, this is the one place where you can eat the whole menu in one meal instead of buying a second home.

The venue is exceptional but once you enter the hot restaurant the quality ends. The food was average and not a 5 star hotel experience and the Toro ( on show) was only for the owner! Service was good but the food quality and hot restaurant made it a poor experience
Restaurant was painfully noisy for a Tuesday evening at 8 pm. Food was generally good but not exceptional considering the prices. I found it offensive that we were asked if we wanted water to drink and the server kept refilling our water glasses with no indication that we would be charged 6 euros for each of the three bottles (18 euros in total) he used to fill our glasses. We had no way of knowing how much water we drank as the server kept the bottles somewhere other than on our table.
(Translated by Google) Unique experience of sushi, braised, tempayaki etc. Quality dishes, made at the moment, in a pleasant and refined atmosphere. Even so, even though it is one of the restaurants at the Hotel da Penha, and given the evaluation of the meal, I found the price inappropriate: €68 per person, drinks charged separately. A few years ago I was at Midori, they still served this Asian buffet menu and it was top, far superior to Spices.(Original)Experiência única de sushi, braseados, tempayaki etc.

The butter chicken curry was the best I’ve had!
We were staying at the resort and decided to try Spices mainly out of convenience, knowing that the prices would be on the high side. However the fact that we were not told that we were paying over 8 euros for each bottle of water that the server used to keep our glasses filled was offensive. Additionally the acoustics in the room cause it to be a very noisy place and not enjoyable even though the tables are not unusually close together.
Had a lovely time to celebrate the birthday there. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Upon your arrival they printed a birthday note with your surname on the table. Food is good and fresh. Sushi were very good. The rice is well cooked. The teppan section was a bit messy but it was busy so understandable. Will recommend to the others. Special thanks to Catarina for your warm welcome.

We were very excited to eat at Spices as I am a big fan of fusion restaurants. However, when we got there it was a Japanese buffet night and you could not order off the regular menu. The food was good but it was very over priced. The meal was not worth the $198 euros it cost. The service was friendly and overall the experience at this Ritz Carlton was great. This meal however did not hit the mark.
Congratulations to the team! From the chef to the cleaning staff. Marvellous food, atmosphere and service. Worth a Michelin star! Shrimp Bao simply the best one in the world! Lamb and pistachio! What a combination! Green fish curry?!?! Simply divine.
Excellent service, food was very nice, a good selection to choose from.
Having eaten at Spices ordering from the "regular" menu, which is not available during the Saturday night buffet, I would say the food quality suffers on the buffet. We wouldn't choose it again. We were also a bit disappointed that, despite noting a special adult occasion, we were seated next to a very noisy family with loud children and pinging cell phones. It is noteworthy that we were the only two tables in the restaurant at the time because it was early. We had to ask to be moved.
All the staff were great but the restaurant was soulless and the food not up to previous standards. Naan bread was a sugary flatbread, bao's tasting like a club sandwich ..... please go back to your previous standards of excellent food.
