The shrimp starter was great. That’s about it. The steak was thin and bone dry. Expensive overall.
Very rude owner and the prices are high. He didn't like us from the first time he saw us. Very arrogant , we asked for a second catalogue and he refused to give us telling that life is for sharing! The food nothing special, the tables were tiny but the worst of all was the owner. Very unprofessional
The Sintra steak was nice, good sauce although the steak was on the tough side. It felt cozy to be tucked into this tiny restaurant on a chilly fall day. Meal was nice but service was pretty much non existent. We live in Lisbon and unfortunately we have come to expect this as the norm.
I was in Sintra visiting the Pena Palace and the tour guides highly recommended Tulhas, especially if you're looking to try seafood rice and I was! The restaurant is small and tight, decorated with tiles and wood, located between the tourism office and San Martin Church. The seafood rice was good, filling and hearty, though I would recommend this dish only for fans of seafood.
A fun find off the beaten path, had delicious seafood soup and sardine patties. My husband ordered the steak, which was served with an egg. Our first trial of Porto wine was here as well. Kind service and offered English explanations on the menu items.
I rate it the worst food that i can remember, terrible quality, badly cooked sadly presented, dirty ...could get much worse! OH YES THE SERVICE equally bad
The food was delicious. First course of goats milk cheese was super. The entree of fresh cod with veggies and hot olive oil was delicious, really well prepared. The wine recommended was good. The service from both men in the restaurant was like they were doing me a favour. Blaring television. With a soccer game did nothing for ambience
Food was quick but overcooked. Great staff, good flavor and wine.
Of all the charming places in Sintra our tourguide advised us to go here - unfortunately. I am sure he eats for free.... Food was nothing to write home about, we were recommended to try the Bachalau Nata... well skip it, same with the cheese plate and meat with french fries. We were charged EUR 4,5 for 3 very small butter packages. Location outdated and waiter could do with some hospitality training.
Very rude waiter. Food is less then average and the place is not very welcoming. The price that we paid was higher then what we got! Considering the alternative I would skip this restaurant!

Terrible hole under the Main Street. Cramped, hot, dark, sticky ugly menu page and an extremely rude owner who doesn’t hesitate to shout at clients complaining of bad service. Don’t get near this place, there are enough alternatives.
Nelson manages the customers and provides excellent service with a sense of humour. Reasonable prices for tapas or larger plates.tasty dessers. Would definitely return
The food was mediocre at most . The service was outrageous the waiter was rude. He stood our whole meal right next to us, speaking with a couple, telling them how was his journey many years ago to the U.s. He actually made me an headache! I am strongly suggesting to Take this place out of your lists’
Our Airbnb host André recommended this gem and Nelson was wonderful! The food was delicious and Nelson truly made the experience so much fun!
