“My family and I chose this restaurant for its offering of the true flavors of Portuguese cuisine and we really weren't disappointed until dessert time.
The dessert chosen by my husband and I was a lemon meringue tart...existing lemon, meringue from poorly cooked egg whites that left us with a gastrointestinal problem for 3 days.
We notified the restaurant and were told it was impossible as they had not received any other complaints.

“Vegetarian options: Bit limited but ok . Tomato and Pesto and Mozzarella salad really good. Fries are excellent, not soggy plus spaghetti with pesto, pine nuts and parmesan very tasty. Huge choice of teas and coffee from their own roaster. Tried a Bombom which was coffee with condensed milk.... delicious but only room for one. Staff speak very good English and are very attentive. We have visited 3 times.”

Elena's pasta is the best I have ever eaten, particularly the carbonara and the lasagne, and the pizzas are always perfectly cooked and presented with an amazing choice of toppings. “Another surprising restaurant in the Algarve! We didn’t expect much but were pleasantly impressed. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and we had fun joking with him. The raw oysters were the best we’ve had in Portugal accompanied by a nice inexpensive white wine. Our Portuguese style tuna was a welcome change from the regular seared tuna and much appreciated. Finished off with cheesecake and a local delicacy, a carob, fig and almond tart… superb! One of our best lunches in the Algarve!”

“Good sushi and pretty good Thai food. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, but the Thai noodle dish lacked a little pizzazz. The warm fried tuna uramaki was the overall winner, but I do love fried foods!
The setting for this nice small restaurant is lovely, right on the river at the far end of the esplanade where all of the tour boats leave.
And the prices were very reasonable. I would go back. A good experience.

Having had the chance to travel to southern India, we are always tempted by Indian restaurants, although often disappointed.
The cuisine is from North India, so some differences with what we know:
The Naan is a little thicker, the paratha is a kind I didn't know, made with wholemeal flour.
Very positive point: they produce real paneer (a rare thing, often replaced by laughing cow).
We ate vegetarian:
Overall good spices (not necessarily spicy), quality dishes, in good quantity for the price.
The server asks you for the spice level, and adapted perfectly to our desires.

Though it's small it also uses the sidestreet which in my opinion is an awesome idea.The staff is totally friendly and knows how to make good drinks.The prices are fair.The shots and cocktails of the day are totally sick. “I really enjoy this place every time I visit Tavira. I always ask if we can stop in. The food here is delicious and the service is always quick. I find all the workers here to be very skilled - the kitchen does a great job on the presentation and food preparation and I find the waitress to be professional and kind. I personally enjoy the sushi bar/buffet (totally worth the value) but their more traditional menu is good as well.
