I called to make a reservation on Monday. Kindly, they returned my call, unfortunately in English until they said the name for the reservation. Then whoever was on the other side closes the reservation in Brazilian Portuguese. I made an appointment for 8 pm, when I arrived at the restaurant I went to one of the Brazilian waitresses and asked about the reservation. The lady replied that I had to wait because the table was still busy and that I had told the customers that they had to leave at 8 o'clock. It was already after 8 o'clock... we waited 10 minutes and I spoke to the lady again who simply said that the customers weren't finished yet. It's funny but I think it was prejudice because I'm Portuguese (he must have thought that we Portuguese are stiff). Anyway, thank you very much for the lack of respect.

Such a nice place with such delicious food! Went there twice again this holiday. It's unbelievable what delicious food comes out of that tiny kitchen, chapeau! And yes, it is a bit more expensive than “regular” Portuguese cuisine, but worth it. Service also exceptionally adequate and friendly, wine list top and the limoncello spritz as an aperitif also delicious. Recommended! Reservations are recommended, they are often completely full.

i had the lamb tajine with vegetables. It was delicious. Reg and Marie Joe had the Bochechas do Porco Preto (Black Pork Stew) which was extremely delicious. JM wants to eat there again. The lemon cheesecake was also very good; not dense like american cheesecake and with a subtle lemon flavor. Tiramisu also good. The bread was also excellent (small extra charge) and we liked the red wine "Arcad Tinto".

As a coeliac traveller I was able to get a gluten free meal here (pizza or pasta) however you must book ahead to get a table, and the restaurant seems to need 1+ days notice to order in the gluten free items so you do need to advise them of your order when booking.
The restaurant had a lovely ambience taking over the street in the evening, this is a busy spot so service can be a bit hit or miss.

Aquasul is a nice restaurant in the center of Tavira. Although its customers are mainly tourists, the quality is decent and the menu is full of interesting options, including many vegetarian and vegan ones. For instance, the bean burger is really nice and it's accompanied by some tasty cus cus. It's good place for kids as well, for example you can ask for the spaghetti with tomatoes (half portion).
