“Very noisy. Such a good restaurant they should get their guest to lower the noise. Apart from this point food is exceptional.
Parking: On weekends very busy so get to restaurant earlier.
Wheelchair accessibility: Has a lift inside restaurant from garage to both floors.“
“My dinner at O Gaveto was the highlight of my recent trip to Portugal. We ordered so many wonderful dishes, and each one was better than the first. We ate for hours : the barnacles were as though they were taken directly from the sea, and the scallops were the most divine thing I have ever eaten in my life: they were silky, creamy, salty...just incredible. We had a dish with rice and lobster which was so delicious and had a wonderful depth of flavor . The wine list was also incredible. I ordered a bottle from one of my favorite producers, and minutes later he ended up sitting at the table next me- and before we knew it, were suddenly sharing stories and wine with him. What are the chances?!?! The service was OUTSTANDING, and they were so patient as my friend continued to order more and more food and wine. I will never forget my evening at O Gaveto - this is a DO NOT MISS restaurant just outside of Porto. Absolutely wonderful - I highly recommend it. Thank you O Gaveto for your hospitality, your classic service, and for an evening I won't soon forget.“

“Very tasty food. Excellent service. Lots of sympathy.
There is no payment via ATM or via MBway.
You have to carry money; ATM in Praceta where the restaurant is located and on Avenida da Câmara and in front of the Vallis Longue Building which is on the same Avenue.“
“I've been there as a couple and as a group, and both times we were very well attended to, the suckling pig is very good, nothing beats the ones in the mealhada, the suckling pig sandwiches are generous, I liked it.Regarding the suckling pig francesinha, it's not that it's bad, but it didn't convince me, I'm sorry. But overall, it is a place, without a doubt, that I recommend in Valongo.“

“We used viamichelin website for a restaurant in Porto and found Apego. It was a good decision to go here, we enjoyed it very much. We took the 5 course tasting menu with pairing wines. Each course we found very tasteful, with the pairing wine further elevating the flavors. To us the key world was balance. Each course fitted nicely with the predecessing course. The crew was very nice, taking time to explain every dish and wine in both Portugese and (perfect) English and making us feel at home. A place we certainly recommend as the people here understand what tasting and pairing means!“

“We came here on a recommendation and this place is brilliant! This modern, natural wine bar serves a wide variety of ports and wines and deli food: fresh sandwiches, sharing boards, fish dishes, desserts and coffees. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced- we shared the small meat and cheese board with sourdough bread and it was excellent quality. The server was more than happy to make a tomato sandwich for our little boy which he devoured- juicy, fresh tomatoes and fresh from the oven sourdough. The drinks we ordered- port, white wine and an organic soda for the little one were all delicious. Service was fantastic and we had a great chat about Porto with the lady running the place. Highly recommended and will definitely be back- thanks for a great lunch experience! ?
Kid-friendliness: They were so accommodating with our 6 year old, making him something that wasn't on the menu and happily chatting with him about his favourite movies ?“

“Good food, with a very good and welcoming atmosphere, I was well received and the staff were very attentive, especially the waitress Teresa who was assigned to serve me, the only thing is that the francesinha sauce could have been spicier, otherwise everything was great“

“So grateful to have discovered this little gem. This kind of authentic restaurant has become rarer in Porto over the last years.
What makes it so special, besides the fantastic food, is the fact that Miguel runs this restaurant as a one-man show. He stands behind the kitchen and serves all the tables. Dinner started with a delicious fish soup, and then I chose the “polvo cozido” (boiled octopus), which was super fresh and delicious.
For dessert I chose the “pudim” which was also delicious!
I will definitely be back. Don’t be set back by the 60-70’s style interior design. The food is authentic, everything homemade and fresh for very fair prices.
Unfortunately my phone’s battery was empty, so couldn’t take pics.“

“Crazy!!! We are Spanish. We have been in Porto for several days eating in various places, we have been wasting time since today is our last day. We ate wonderfully, the service was great, and the prices were very low for what we have paid so far. I always recommend it. Important, the place does not have a sign, look carefully.“

“The food was excellent.
I had the vegetarian pizza and it was soooooo delicious, I can recomend this place to every one who is in porto and likes good food.
To drink i had a homemade ginger and rosmarin ice tea. The ice tea also was perfect.
But the best was the waiter who is super nice and funny and the sweet waitress.
I would come here every time again“

“Stumbled into it by chance and haven't regretted it!
We had the 3-course “Orient” menu for two people. It was beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty. Likewise the dessert. The crowd was perfect for both of us.
The staff was also polite, attentive and professional. The outside area was beautifully decorated and pleasantly quiet.
For me it is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited.
Totally recommended!“

“Love this place! Exquisite, creative cuisine made with love for the local produce. But that’s not even the best part - the staff here is! Very knowledgeable, witty and courteous, and we really enjoyed the wine pairings that they recommended. Great value for money and definitely one of the most well-deserved additions to the Michelin guide. We are already planning our next visit to Porto to eat here while further exploring the city!“

“We dropped by a little earlier to see if we could get a spot. This place always seems busy.
The food and service clearly showed why it was always busy. The gnocchi and chicken cacciatore were great. Specifically my gnocchi tasted fresh and the portion was huge.
The service team was both friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the food here and would definitely recommend it.“

“Wonderful place filled with giant strelitzia plants? The service was a little slow to begin with and it took a while before we got the menus. Then it was all forgiven because the ladies were such sweet and accommodating The food was delightful for the the eye and and mouth, the wines perfect accompanied. We are super satisfied for the whole experience? They also provided us a perfect table for one of the diners who sits in a wheelchair. Thank you for a lovely last supper in Portugal?“

“Good food at driving prices. It was busy today, but we got a table quickly. Unfortunately you sit on a bit of a slope outside, but otherwise it's pretty good. It's a pretty busy street, so a lot of people walk past the table. The service was friendly. In the end it took a while to make the dessert, but it tasted good. Overall, you can go here without hesitation.“

“My husband and I ate at tasco last night and couldn’t leave Porto without giving a review. One of the best dinner experiences we’ve had while traveling. Beautiful restaurant on a slightly less busy street. The food was incredible - creative and cool while also being delicious and crushable. The people serving us were wonderful - Joel and Bernardo especially. You feel like you belong there, which is a fresh feeling as a tourist. Highly recommend making the time to eat here if you are foodies like us. Obrigada, tasco!“

“Very pleasant place to have an aperitif with the late afternoon sun on the terrace. The interior is very welcoming and original. We liked the vinho verde, but beer was very popular on the terrace. Nice neighborhood place where you don't feel too many tourists (even if we were!). Great!!!“
“Very good restaurant in the Sheraton Porto hotel spa. Healthy options, ceviche, carpaccio, fish, and fresh season fruits. The wine list in really good and has most of the varieties in Portugal. A good option when staying in the hotel. Staff is kind and friendly.“

“The cod bolinho and the pork risol (croquettes) are highly recommended, quite large and filling. We also tried the puppy (little dog) and the tower of garlic prawns, with a very good sauce for dipping bread.
Evellin treated us with great kindness and sympathy, thank you very much for everything.“

“Very nice place! The person who attend us was nice, even in the last 45 min before closing. Thank you! He served us very well, recommended us... Food was delicious and local style, vegetable soup was surprisingly delicious, I also tried an amazing flan / pudding, hand and home made. I would like to repeat to try the main dishes, and we only tried what remains as kind of Portuguese "tapas". Totally recommended.“

“This restaurant and the owners are just amazing! The location is charming and we had a lovely table facing the street. People would stop by the window and look at our food which was probably the best Italian food we’ve ever had. The warm welcome by the owners as well as every item we ordered was outstanding. You receive fresh bread with olives and olive oil as much as you desire and it was scrumptious. For appetizers, we ordered a salad and chicken meatballs, and they were very delicious. For dinner, we had the salmon, Bolognese, a veggie pasta and they were cooked to perfection. The absolute star of the meal was a mushroom pasta: it was decadent and like no pasta we’ve ever tasted! The owners ( husband and wife) were SO sweet! We cannot wait to come back to Porto and eat at this absolute gem of a restaurant again!“
“(Translated by Google) An exceptional hotel restaurantThe restaurant is located in the historic fish market hall of Massarelos in Porto, right on the banks of the Douro. The architecturally interesting Vincci Hotel Porto opened 3 years ago in this tastefully restored Art Deco building. The classically furnished restaurant is a feast for the eyes of design fans. This is also where the exceptionally good hotel breakfast takes place. At lunchtime, the 33 Alameda offers a 3-course menu for EUR 11. For only 2 Eur there is 0.2L of good regional wine. This offer is used by many business people from the area. The service is professional, friendly and attentive. The evening menu is also extremely cheap. The price level is comparable to the many small, simple fish restaurants in the district that offer an authentic fresh fish dish for little money. We spent a very good dinner in a pleasant atmosphere at 33 Alameda. We also liked the background music at the perfect volume. After the usual bread with olive oil, tapenade and garlic butter, we received a greeting from the kitchen: diced chicken breast with nuts.Afterwards we had a velvety garlic soup with shrimp, which was also very aromatic. The Porco Preto presa was crispy and tender and the meat was of the best quality. The side dish consisted of Portuguese white beans and was heavily seasoned with ham. This exceptional hotel restaurant is a top recommendation for foodies looking for a sophisticated alternative to the good simple fish restaurants in the area. The price/performance ratio is already very favorable. But if you book online via Tripadvisor/The Fork at certain times during the winter months, you can save up to 30% off-This is a sensational offer!(Original)Ein außergewöhnliches HotelrestaurantDas Restaurant befindet sich in der historischen Fischmarkthalle von Massarelos in Porto direkt am Douroufer. “Originally we went to Brasão Aliados, but we didn't have a reservation and it was full. However Brasão arranged for us to have a driver, Sérgio, to transport us to Brasão Antas. Sérgio was amazing, very friendly and attentive. We got a spot on the second-floor terrace, which was nice for a summer evening. We all had Francesinha which is a classic of Brasão, and I highly recommend. After our meal, Sérgio was ready to take us back to Aliados.
I can definitely recommend trying out Brasão (any of them) for a good meal with friends in a chill atmosphere.“

“I was there last week to visit the restaurant, I was amazed at the service
Meet the restaurant chef!
The food is spectacular!
(I will leave a small observation
The only thing missing is justice in the dishes
Increase the size of the prawns to be more visible on the plate, and the sirloin steak should be a little thicker)“

“The food is pretty good, but if you want cod… it's not the place. Original flavors, acceptable service and a very good atmosphere.
It is at the edge of the corridor in the Ribeira. A place to enjoy. I advise arriving before two or after three thirty. If not, wait for a table.
A curiosity. When you enter the premises you can see the floor below through the floor.

Parking: Grim imposture in this area. Better to take a taxi or Uber“

“A fantastic little restaurant. The food, despite being simple concepts, was full of flavor.
It can only become unpleasant if people at the next table are so unpleasant, because it is impossible not to hear them given the distance between the tables.“

“A must try in Porto!
We booked a meal at Flow for the last night of our holiday in Porto and it was excellent!
It is a beautiful restaurant hidden away off one of the cobbled streets. A lovely interior theme to it and great ambiance.
The food was delightful, we had starters, main and deserts and all were delicious. Standouts on my meal were the chestnut fondant served with the pork and the peanut and salted caramel cheesecake!
They had many staff on, who were all attentive and we were mainly served by Rodrigo who was very jovial and friendly!“
